The Tin Man in the 3-1 away win at Spuds in 88 or 89. My favourite ever away match. He scored 2 and was totally unplayable 😁

Anyone remeber 38 years ago?  I was on the football special to Newport away, which was an eventfull day in a very mid eighties kind of way. We won and finished 7th in the third division, on 70 points.
I will also always remember it the day of the shocking Bradford fire. I was pleased we sang stand up for the 56 in our pre sesason friendly, it was noted by the fans up here.

"This is a burning hell... And look at THAT!  Oh this is awful... Desperately trying to save the life of a supporter who had come to watch the football... This is human tragedy."
    John Helm, TV Commentator,
As policemen and fellow fans alike battered the flaming body with coats, scarves, and even the soles of their own boots, in their vain attempts to extinguish the flames.
A combination of film and words that still cannot be re-visited without tears, even after all these years.

Whenever anyone comments negatively on PPS... or any other "modern, soulless bowl of concrete and steel"... I never fail to remember those scenes, those words, and the 56 souls who never got to see another minute of football.

    RIP to each and all.

Agreed, at the end of the day it's not my money so cannot blame DC if we need company sponsorship, just hope it's not a betting company.

Well that's another season over. It's been extremely eventful, some good times, some bad times but football will continue no matter what. I know there has been contentious issues throughout the year. Poor officials, bad decisions, missed goalmouth opportunities but it's balanced out by the sheer euphoria of seeing my beloved team playing in a stadium fit for the Premiership. Gutted we didn't get in the playoffs but, in my heart of hearts, I think we would have struggled big time in the Championship with what the EFL have still imposed on us. We have the stability at the helm for once, we have a financial structure which we still need to adhere to (for the time being) and we have a manager who WILL get us out of this league sometime soon. August can't come quick enough for me. Will get me season ticket asap, will look forward to the fixtures coming out, and will turn up to bellow my support at PP and elsewhere. I will be a year older then, creeping towards my 70th birthday, but it's what I do. Football and anything to do with Derby County, is special to me and countless other thousands of DCFC fans. Very proud to be a Rams fan. Always was, always will be.UTR!

Love this. I’ve been through thick & thin with this club for the last 42 years and was gutted at the final whistle yesterday. Then 5 minutes later me and my mate were discussing our away trip schedule for next season! COYR.

I think it’s more about selling all the tickets and filling the ground in a relatively short time.
We will have a lot less time for the home leg IF we get through.

The seat next to me was taken for the first time on Saturday, though the chap left 10 mins before halftime and on 80 minutes.  I think I prefer it empty.

While we are all in a good mood following the win at Exeter and over the next 2/3 weeks filling this website with our opinions of our next 3 performances, can I take this opportunity to have an early shout out for RAMS TV.
Over the last turbulent couple of years the one thing that has remained a quality constant has been Rams TV, providing us with a professional, objective assessment of our matches (take note Radio Derby). I remember Owen Bradley occasionally commentating on Radio Derby and thought how good and informative he was at the time. He has risen to new heights over the last couple of years and (despite a few dodgy suits) is perfect for Rams TV,  keeping his commentary succinct and to the point. Shaun Barker is the perfect foil and his professional insight is well worth listening to - I can  “see what he was trying to do there” being his catchphrase. Getting Owen to Rams TV a was probably the best decision Mel Morris made during his time in charge!
Obviously, they are the frontmen for a quality team in the background and well done to all the nameless helpers in producing a great service.
So personally, thank you Owen & Shaun for your fantastic work. Hopefully, every one else who appreciates your work will show that by “Loving” this post in a mark of respect, as I know you do read this website.
