I don’t understand this thinking.
Barnsley would have been relegated last season but for Wigan’s points deduction. Now they are in the playoffs.
It’s also likely the fans will be back and there’ll be a change of ownership and/or a new manager.
Things will be much different so to assume that the obvious thing to happen is relegation next year as an obvious follow on to this season is IMO a bit of a reach.

We are hypercritical of our football team right now but in reality we’re in games to the end.

We see threads dedicated to how rubbish we are and plenty pile in to vent.
Through the red mist it’s hard to see that we are, in fact, trying to win a football match.
We are not a bad football team but in my opinion the wind is against us and we will go down.
In the 11 point season we lost 7 in a row because we had nothing like the quality of the opposition and were played off the park.
in the last 6 games we’ve had one really bad performance against Preston the other games just haven’t gone our way, with decisions or goalies playing out of there skin. A defensive slip gets punished nearly every time. 
We are not getting anything go our way. This is why is so difficult to fix. How do you make luck change?

Anyone who says we are is just a blind pessimist who is ignoring what many have said in the media, that at worst we’ll probably get a fine, and choosing to believe the Mail who have been wrong about everything to do with this so far.

Wigan takeover took a few week to go through these tests, I believe ours started around Mon 12th so just over 2 weeks ago. Hopefully we hear something within the next week

Looking at reports this morning of a review of football ownership in this country.
The thrust seems to be more control for fans with a look at the German model where commercial interests c only own 49% of a club would probably put an end to our takeover.
There is a real possibility of fundamental change of how football ownership happens. At least there’s enough uncertainty for someone who’s looking to buy a club to back away.
If you don’t own the whole club you don’t get all the profits or even get to decide how it’s spent.
He may be able to buy the club but may be forced to give up control in the near future.
