Cheers rojo. It was nice to see (from our perspective at least) that the whole thing seems to have been handled professionally and respectfully too. Our new owner (local man and fan) has made a big point of saying that after the carnage of the last couple of years that left a bad taste in everyone's mouths, that he wants the whole club to conduct itself with some integrity and that the character of the manager was a big part of that and why he went for Warne. We have not selected a shirt sponsor yet because the right kind of offers are not there yet and he doesn't want to just sell the clubs soul to just another betting company. Looks like we are going down the charity route for now which is great.
Really hoping that Warne is a big success here not just as a Derby fan but because I want to see the right people do well and that includes our owner and Warne himself. Good luck in the Championship, you've made a very solid start !

I just want to say how lucky you are to have Paul Warne as manager. I've supported the millers for 69 years. Obviously, I've seen managers come and go during that period. As far as I'm concerned, and many other fans Warne is the best manager we've had.
Like Derby fans we went through some dark times. Administration points deducted, lost our ground, forced to play in Sheffield in an athletic stadium. No atmosphere, 4 years in the 4th division.
Paul has many qualities. Excellent staff management, a workaholic. He's articulate, honest and will live and breathe Derby County.
I thank him for all the memories, 3 Wembley wins 3 promotions and I wish him well and as a consequence wish the Rams well. I've never had a second team, but for the first time Derby County will be my second team. I look forward to seeing Paul succeed.
Hopefully Derby will be promoted and we survive in the championship and look forward to see you at the New York stadium.
    All the best.

Yup ! Agree with all that and the order of preference. Horrible multicoloured logo could butcher all of them of course. We actually get away lightly as football fans with one main sponsor. The average rugby league shirt is just an advertising hoarding with enough room to make out the underlying colour and squeeze a club badge on. Even the backs are covered in a mess of different sponsor logos. All universally horrible.

Erm.. really ? (genuinely puzzled). There have been some questions and some reservations expressed in certain quarters about the current situation in terms of how Rosenior's departure came about and the nature of football that might potentially be played under the new manager and whether our squad will suit it but I'm really not seeing much in the way of hysteria that you seem to hint at and besides, debating such developments is surely the point of a forum.

David Clowes remains an absolute legend in my eyes and the same as far as I can see from everyone who seems to have an opinion on here.  Likewise, Paul Warne will have our full backing (as any new manager would) and I'm sure we all wish him every success don't we ?

Er.. Come on you Rams ? *shrug*

Most folk on their forums seem remarkably level-headed about it in the circumstances and understand why (after some success with them) that he'd want to challenge himself elsewhere than Rotherham. The general mood seems to be good luck to him and thanks for the ride. Fair play to them, they seem to get that that's the reality of football, just as we see players and managers sod off when Prem clubs come calling. Nowt we can do about it so no point getting wound up about it. We move on.. the king is dead, long live the king and all that.

Trouble is that we just can't seem to score away from home at the moment so every goal conceded on the road is a massive kick in the nuts and generally means that we'll get nothing from the game. We can't afford half of our fixtures to yield next to nothing because it puts ridiculous pressure on us at home.
