Will tell you in May.

Peterborough with 11 men were better than us and would have won had they retained 11 for the whole game. The P’bro No 8, Taylor was bossing the game, certainly in the 1st half. The turning point was the sending off (kudos to Barks) despite them scoring when down to 10 men. As LR said in his post match, that was the worst we have played this season, possibly because they didn’t let us play.
Can’t agree with that. Think them going a man down and us switching off as a result got them their goal. Think we would have likely won the game still 11v11. Fair play to them for remaining attacking with 10 men to get the goal, just think their subs after that were a bit curious.

Marriott kicked it away 3 times in the first 10 minutes, crafty sod.
He also showed us, as if we needed reminding, that he actually can’t play football outside of the box. Tried to score from half way and could barely kick it as far as the area, fell over the ball etc. He’s a curious footballer.

This is standard David behaviour. Travels 2 hours to get here, and can’t wait 2 minutes to leave.

Must say, unless my eyes were deceiving me, Sibbers was on fire at the start. He "could" have had a hat trick in the opening 5 mins!... I say "could", and not "should", as he did nowt wrong, from what I saw. Was just scuppered by jobsworth defending and a little bad luck.
Glad to see him get a full 90 under his belt.
He's maturing nicely, in my book.Could’ve easily have gotten dragged into an altercation first half too. Got up, got their man booked. Maturity showing.

Great limbs at the end there. Should’ve won comfortably, but we weren’t good enough when they went down to 10.
Big few days with the transfer window. We need some reinforcements. No one we could throw on out wide with NML missing today, and we certainly need a striker to take Joan Collins out the firing line, he was pony again.

Think the team I'd go for is:
Someone, Someone, Someone, Someone, Someone, Someone, Someone, Someone, Sibley, Someone, Someone
The on the bench:
Not Sibley, Not Sibley, Not Sibley, Not Sibley, Not Sibley, Not Sibley, Not Sibley

It’s almost like if Sibley starts occasionally he might actually do something.

Thank you for confirming my point.
What’s the matter, Wayne? Didn’t get bored of seeing Sibley not involved while you were here?

Is Dobbin the goalscorer we have been looking for? Still seems like the Pick n Mix style of team selection left over from the Wazza era. We could do with a settled team before too long .COYR
It has been settled. And it hasn’t worked. It’s been a 70% possession and 1 shot kind of team.

He was invisible last game and dobbin looked brighter In the short amount of time he was on , the change makes sense
I mean that’s just not true.

I hope Hourihane has the legs for this
442 is just a 4231 in another disguise.

Either that, or it's more of a 2 up front with Dobbin off Collins.
Probably rotation within the game. See what works.

Dobbin in for Smith and Forsyth for Roberts.
Positive. We couldn’t start that midfield three again.

Round pegs in round holes. Our midfield isn’t balanced and we are failing to score goals when we have total control of games.
Korey Smith has struggled in midfield - his fitness is questionable and he’s attracted the lowest average ratings in the entire squad after 4 games.
There’s an obvious solution - find/buy/borrow a full back and put Knight in his natural position.
Football is a simple game, made complex by chaps who want to justify having spent a lot of time getting their coaching badges.
The team needs Knight in midfield. Simple as that.
Obviously we want Knight in midfield but that’s not the only solution. Sibley instead of Smith, or a slight shift in positioning with Didzy instead of Smith would both massively improve the pedestrian nature of our attacking.

Think we'll know what to expect at 2pm tomorrow. if it's Bird, Hourihane and Smith then it'll be more of the same.
-
Fact of the matter at the moment is that Bird, Hourihane and Smith simply don’t work as a midfield trio. They all want it to feet, want to come short to the ball, want to play it relatively simple and recycle possession. None of them want to make runs, carry the ball, beat a man, and only Hourihane wants to get a shot off. Sibley, therefore, has to start unless Didzy comes in instead for one of them. We’ve only remotely looked dangerous in the games I’ve seen (Oxford, Barnsley and Shrewsbury) when Sibley has been on the pitch. The sooner Rosenior realises this trio doesn’t work the better.

Didn’t look like creating a chance until Sibley and Dobbin came on, and the shape was changed prior to that with Smith going off.
