He might well be £6m better to be fair. Maybe not in terms of performances right now, but as an investment. I love Cashin but I don't think he'll end up a top-six PL regular. Don't know much about Edwards but if there's a chance he will then the future gap in value will be immense.
Agree we've not been great at getting value over the years, but a lot of our best players haven't kicked on as we thought after they left the club. Maybe they weren't quite as undervalued as we thought.

Is it possible to actually voice a negative, pessimistic or even really any alternative opinion to the (for want of a better word) "pro-Warne" narrative without "contributing to the negative dialogue"?
I agree that there are those who simply don't like him and will jump on any bad moment to use against him.
But it also really concerns me when reasonable criticisms are just shouted down as "moaning", "wrist slashing" and other such terms.
If we are not given a space to criticise and debate managers/players/owners you can end up with a situation where they are essentially allowed to get away with murder and anyone trying to criticise them just gets shouted down. See: Mel Morris.

Nelson and Cashin are a joy to watch, both today were solid as usual but looked so, so confident on the ball. Whatever else is going on the pitch, they seem to never lose their composure
They are the bedrock of our promotion push

If you want to complain about style of football, possession stats, xG, humour or bobble hats, go for it, however in the results business, our form since the Stevenage game is stupendous.
    Played 8
    Won 7
    Drawn 1
    Lost 0
    Scored 18
    Conceded 3

From where I sat, in my opinion the referee and officials got every single decision spot on.
We got what we deserved - a point.

Winning 5 on the spin doesn’t automatically mean that all is rosy. The football hasn’t been great and in my opinion will never be under Warne. My concern is that this style of play doesn’t seem to be great for us in the long run. You not happy with what I say, feel free to use the ignore button instead. Or try to be argumentative and say why you think it’s good, instead of using generic « doesn’t take long to crawl out of the woodwork » tripe. As for people like you, you know feck all about me, or others that voice the same opinion as me. You however, well your posts reveal exactly the type of individual you are. 🤡

Completely disagree. If, by some miracle, we went up this year, we have most of a team out of contract and will be able to replace from a much better pool of players available to us.
You don’t refuse promotion over some notion you aren’t “ready”. You get up by any means necessary and stay there by the same methods.

It means in the average game you'd expect them to have scored 1 and us to have scored 2. We had better than average finishing, and they had worse than average finishing. Indicates that it was a closer game than the score line would suggest. As I'll say yet again, xG is an overview that is more accurately used in the long run, nothing is without flaws but it's a stat that provides more useful context.

I do agree with Tuesday evening being a game too many for some and that's why it's such a shame that Warne didn't start with some fresh legs and minds against Crewe.
Someone like Robinson or Weston would have been really up for a game like this, and it would have shown.
Their number 30, who everyone is raving about, has only started 6 games for them, and come on 4 times, but he was really up for it against a "big" club. He's not pulled up any trees in his other loan spells either, but we gave him the freedom of midfield to strutt his stuff.
It might have been a different game if Robinson had been hassling him every time he got on the ball and he would certainly have let him know he was there, not stood aside while he played through us.

Just randomly? Despite Warne telling them not to do this?
I'm a bit confused about how the players are being told to attack.
    Maybe they are, too.
It's not coaching to tell players they need to make the right decisions at the right time. Coaching is setting up clear systems and tactics which help them to do so.

Not saying I want us to adopt that model but it wasn't good fortune. They just spent the money better: Mel wasted his.

As usual I think there is unnecessary panic in here. As far as I can tell we only have three problems: the manager isn’t good enough, the players aren’t good enough and we have no money. Sort these three things out and we’ll be fine.

First and foremost, my thoughts are with Daniel's friends and family, I cannot imagine what they are going through right now.
I heard the news last night and it came as a huge shock, B4 as we knew him so fondly by will be a huge loss to the forum.
He was Mr Positivity, Derby County's biggest cheerleader, even during the bad times his positivity would shine through.
I know his Dad was at the game today with a scarf on his seat, whilst we haven't closed the gap on Portsmouth in Daniel's final rallying call on this forum, I'm sure he will be over the moon with the 3 goals and 3 points today.
DCFC Fans will be honouring Daniel in time to ensure he remains in our memories, we will also be contacting the club in due course to see what can be done during a game.
Suggestions are welcomed as we all come to terms with the loss.
    Rest in peace Daniel. ❤️🐏

I have some very sad news this evening.  Daniel (B4) died earlier this week. He was just 38.
As you know, he has been battling numerous health conditions for a long time, but always remained cheerful  and was the most loyal supporter of his beloved Rams, home and away.
He was at the match at Crewe and gave his full support as always.
Daniel leaves behind a grieving dad, mum and sister. Our thoughts go out to them and we only hope they get a little comfort from knowing how well loved Daniel is by all who know him.
Here are a couple of photos that his dad agreed could be shared. I'm sure many of you have others, as Daniel loved a selfie at the game.
David is hoping to arrange a more fitting tribute in time, but for now please raise a glass in his memory and a good Derby win today. I am sure that's what Daniel would have been doing tonight.

    Not everyone.
Just spoke to my hubby who was at the game and he thought a draw was the least we deserved (with the caveat that we are rubbish at defending!)
Of course he has the advantage of not being part of the hysteria being whipped up here. He was watching the football.

It's not though is it, fair enough you don't agree with those actively wanting Warne out, I disagree with most also, but come on...
Calling it child-like doesn't really allow for any kind of discussion and it's comments like this which gets others backs up and return fire on you. Then we get the reports roll in, the moderators have to get out of bed, put the Pringles down and start removing posts.
I mean, technically I could pull these posts under the personal insults/inflammatory rule, which let's be honest, that's exactly what it is, although it would be nice if this post to you will make you think, ok, fair enough I'll stop now because there is no need. Especially on a night where we've won 4-0 and even the most ardent Warne Out fan would be in a good mood right now. Why ruin that?
Side note, tonight shows why these type of threads are terrible. Lose and everyone gets fired up with their venomous posts, win and the told you so mob come out.
But yeah, it's a forum for all opinions, respect others even if you disagree, if we all do that, this forum would be a better place to stay online longer and help me buy that super yacht I have my eye on.

And that's part of the problem for me. Bloke comes in and plays well in a friendly, gets a contract.
If he wasn't part of Warne's plan, didn't play in his style, why sign him at all?
    It's very random.
As if he isn't sure exactly what he wants.

The thing is, it’s obvious how that Cocu/Rosenior stuff turns into really good football - it really doesn’t take that much, just move it slightly quicker, be a bit smarter in when to take risks or not, just tiny improvements really, a lot of which would have come from just playing together more (especially the Rosenior era). I have no clue what it would take to turn this team into a proper Warne team, but we seem a million miles away from it.

Also seen one or two referencing “clownes”, this is also bang out of order. We owe him enormously. He’s just a fan like us who had the wherewithal to do what we would all do. Despite seemingly getting wrong with warne he’s still our saviour

If it's not enough, then fair play. He has done his best.
But he is not a 'clown'. He certainly is not.
I really hate seeing this term leveled at him.
Whatever your opinions of him, please think before you post unkind comments.

None of the existing players look comfortable playing this weird anti-football, and none of the players Warne has brought in look any good at playing it, either.
At this point it's impossible to see where any significant progress is going to come from. Just the same thing week after week.
