Need to get yourself one of these to show your shirts off @loweman2
If I wanted that sort of look I would have modelled them myself ?

No it wasn’t - I was in the key club when it started and I was behind the goal to the left of the bridge in the normanton terrace.
Sorry to be unclear I meant the painted area at the Normanton end not of course that area to the for of the picture in the osmaston end, hence why I included to newspaper report, all to try and clear up the earlier confusion in the thread of the key club placing, not meaning to add further confusion ?

If my memory is right, Johnny Russell wore that original kit for the match program cover picture, when he made his debut.
He wore a modern copy of the 1888 shirt to commemorate the 125 years of Derby County being a founder club of the football league, it had the wrong colour collar and a badge where the shirt at the time had no badge.

Brand new version of the book The Colours of The Rams is now out, updated to 2021/22 season, also 60 more pages and a change of format and shirts, also now includes original newspaper reports from 1884 onwards confirming kit colours and changes along with other research and the never seen before original shirt from the first game in 1884, on special offer at the moment for only £12.80 from Amazon, we make no profit from this it really is a labour of love and the only time that the full history has been documented, if you have one of the earlier copies it’s well worth updating as there is a lot more content as the book continues to grow and evolve as we unearth more history.
It really is the perfect gift, sort of book that you can leave on the coffee table and pick up and put down at leisure.
thank you for your continued support ??

It will be at Field Lane Football Club in Alvaston which is around a mile from Nunsfield Social Club. Don't know if the bust has been built yet though.
We have got planning permission all gone through, just got to wait for the builders to find time to build the plinth and install it.

@loweman2 is this shirt, the away shirt for season 1973 - 74 and what colour is it?
I can't see it in Derby County The Colours of The Rams book 1st Edition. It's not the home white shirt, has a white collar, maybe blue, yellow etc, but clearly hard to tell in a black and white photo, which is currently for sale on ebay.

A season to forget, Eddie Lewis and the news but not going back to the future in a hurry ! Worst team in history but we are still going and always will, we always pick ourselves up ! Not many of these player worn shirts around, the replicas were a LTD edt aswell, Adidas let us down badly that year with stock shirts, they must have known what was coming !
