Pretty sure it's all cited on here buddy but in all honesty, there's been so many different conversations about this now spread across so many threads, I wouldn't know where to start. Based on what I've read, I see literally no precedent for a points deduction and I really do think that at a time where the EFL's stock is at an all-time low, they are simply sabre-rattling to appease a few angry, blowhard owners and directors. If they'd not appealed, the charges levied to EFL member clubs for what was a farcical tribunal would have hung heavily around their necks. Perpetuating the process just seems like a thinly-veiled attempt to retrospectively give the process some credibility. The whole thing is just embarrassing.

I would think that the only things Warne and the Wycombe owner know is the clickbait nonsense that Nixon put out. Highly doubt Warne knows anything . Do agree that a lot of clubs could be in financial trouble  though including us as a result of Covid. The EFL should be finding ways of supporting clubs not punishing them. If that's there MO may as well give the relegated clubs  promotion now as they are the only ones who will have any money.

I dont think fans are in denial just nobody knows for a fact yet and nobody has suggested the club has been managed in a way that is "white as snow." Why get your knickers in a twist until something is fact rather than speculation

Tom Gibbs, so-called senior sports reporter, describes Derby County as a “basket-case Club” in the above article.
How very dare he? Why is this “ witch hunt” occurring? Where’s the evidence? I know MM has a fair few things on his plate right now, so no blame if the Club ignores this, but I would call this chap out without question. Just pure muck-raking and not acceptable from a paper that is supposed to be intelligent and objective.

”It seems naive to have imagined Rooney could thrive with a basket case club like Derby, but magical thinking powers a worrying number of football’s biggest decision.”

You'd do yourself a great favour if you went and read the decision - It articulates the methodology for calculating the value of the ground. That methodology is not disputed rather the values (cost per seat if I recall correctly) that are input to the calculation. The club arrived at a total of £80m from that methodology, the EFL (from memory) £30+m using those calcs, 1967Rams came up wtih '5-10 million quid tops' using the fag packet method, the only calculator used was a casio to spell out 'boobies'.

They can’t .. because they don’t know either. They are also not going to say anything substantive when they need an investor and want to keep the ship as stable as possible. They won’t say all is well when it clearly isn’t (that stands across the entire championships) and they aren’t going to “help we are in the poo” because that means as sellers they put themselves at a huge disadvantage.
Nothing in life is guaranteed. This is a business like any other. Quite apart from the mess that is football finances in the lower leagues, we have had an international pandemic. I think it is credit to the whole club for keeping the ship going so far. To demand an unbreakable promise of reassurance from “Daddy” lacks logic. It isn’t going to happen and it isn’t the fault of any one individual.

I rarely visit other teams forums, it seems pointless really. I'm not bothered what they say about us. I suppose growing up in the non internet era it wasn't a thing so I have very little interest in what others say about us.
I don't mind a face to face discussion with other fans, its interesting to talk about your clubs over a pint or at work, but the net is not conducive to conversation.
I quite like the Millwall stance of "no one likes us" tbh.

Not true we had a valuation provided by a competent international firm.  Undoubted.  That’s why they haven’t appealed.  I think there have been other values since that support the professional value

Nicholsons piece in the DET. - Direct from the sun. It' well known by the entire planet the charge regarding the ground sale HAS NOT been appealed.  And what has the size of debt got to do with this charge anyway.  If Morris used the ground sale to service debt or light a bonfire it has no relevance at all. The charge related to the value not what it was spent on.
It says the dispute centres on the size of Derby’s debts and using the sale of their Pride Park stadium to cover those losses, as well as anomalies in the ‘transfer values’ of players.
When the local journalist is reporting such nonsense I struggle to see the point of his job

You want us punished for sticking to the rules, and when unsure about the rules to ask the EFL for guidance?
All the club has been guilty of as far is not accurately stating the amortisation policy to the suitable financial standard. That is in no way cheating and should only mean a fine (covering all costs?) as a worst case scenario.

Reggie Greenwood reacted to BOB BIGGS in Rooney judged harshly vs Nigel Clough
I wouldn’t argue with that. Like Cocu and Rooney, he inherited a squad that needed vast improvement. I think McLaren, Mark 1, and Rowett had slightly better squads to work with. Lampard, with his 3 loanees, probably had the best set of individuals.
It’s probably just my take on things but I never fancied us to get through those games, even the QPR game, which was one of the most disappointing afternoons I’ve ever had at a football match. After the sending off, I presumed QPR would kick the ball over the stand for another 30 minutes and then sneak it on penalties. Perhaps my glass is always half empty - but in defence,  I have been supporting since 1963?

I’ll give you one last response. Derby have not as far failed FFP so no they haven’t over spent in FFP terms. Middlesborough would have done if they hadn’t sold the club debts to Gibsons own haulage company. That should count as cheating in your eyes as well , as it happens it was not against the rules at the time ( the tax man might have a different view on that still ) . If Gibson is your idea of a clean and virtuous owner as you seem to reference his opinion a lot then my opinion of you as a wum stands

Let's rewrite history and pretend the lad's the root cause of all our woes. That way we can post a load of spiteful bolarks at the same time as completely ignoring the service he's given the club. Yeah, he had a shocker, yeah, maybe his time is done, I've said myself that I think his legs are gone, but let's show a bit of class and respect because he's earned that much, at very least.
