I tend to agree and for me I always want a deal agreed to sign permanently if we wanted to keep him otherwise why bother as we may as well try to develop our own.

Do we have any of our own at the moment ? This feels like another try before they sign like Plange or Ebiowie ?

Another important home game against a good team. This is a game I look at and my heart says id take draw for 2 wins on the road against Morecombe and Lincoln. however, because were so strong at home i think this is another game we can win with the quality we have, although Smith will be a miss.

Id set up a little different from last Saturday with NML & Forsyth coming into the side.

                               Wildsmith

    Knight     Stearman      Cashin     Forsyth

                         Bird            Hourihane

                               Dobbin

     NML                                            Barkhauzien

                            Mcgoldrick

    Bench: Loach/Rooney/Roberts/Thompson/Sibley/Collins/Cybulski (Or new signing)

They have lost away at Fleetwood and got tonked 6-1 at Charlton. Won at FGR last away game.  Away form seems patchy so would hope that we have too much for them.

Russian businessman who criticised Ukraine war dies - reports

The chairman of the board of Lukoil, Russia's biggest privately held oil producer, has reportedly died after falling out of a hospital window.

Russian news agency Interfax said Ravil Maganov fell out of the window of the Central Clinical Hospital in Moscow.

It quoted a source as saying law enforcement officials were on the scene.

Lukoil is one of the few Russian companies to openly criticise the invasion of Ukraine.

In March, the board had called for the "soonest termination of the armed conflict" and expressed "sincere empathy for all victims".

"We strongly support a lasting ceasefire and a settlement of problems through serious negotiations and diplomacy," it said.

A bit like the witnesses testifying against Marinikas in Greece. He is innocent but they still get shot by someone

He is apparently highly rated by Chelsea. Yes not every single one of Chelseas youth players makes it to their first team, but if we end up signing this guy I will be extremely surprised. Seems a complete waste of time to me. If he's not going into the first team and we don't own him I wouldn't waste our time.

You would think that Wassall/Rosenior would have a plan or reason in mind as we are not in the position financially to use up a loan ( senior or youth ) frivolously ?

Watched Pickford last night taking absolutely forever with each goal kick. Blatant time wasting from very early on. Ref should have booked him and put a stop to it. Same with some lad taking throw ins, rub the ball, turn it over, wave to his mates and finally hurl it upfield.

I'm not in favour of stop the clock as I think the whole game will slow down, take it easy , get your breath back, still time for the next attack!

I want Refs to tighten up on all stoppages, 10 seconds for a Goal kick with a multi ball, 10 for a throw in. 20 for a free kick, bit longer for corners but the taker must hustle to get there, not stroll from the other side of the pitch.

Injuries totally up to Ref, but stop for clear injuries only, ; cramp, play on. Kick ball out ;10 seconds throw in rule applies.

It was against Leeds so that’s ok ?

Follow up question- I'm coming on Saturday with both the kids. We're going to be there *early* (like, maybe around 12ish, and having lunch in town before heading back for the match)- we are driving from Lincolnshire, and driving back there after the match, so an *ideal* spot would have easy access to A52 Eastbound, and not be too far from the ground (the kids are 6 and 8, so.... long walks not ideal).

Worst case scenario I'll probably park at Intu and take on the walk, but no idea what the traffic will be like 25 minutes after full time...

Any better options available to someone arriving that far in advance?

The Smithfield Pub or the Car Park to the rear of the old Derby Evening Telegraph building. Short walk over the bridge to PP can get straight out onto the A52 after both on the same road ??

I think Derby is a dump. Not Derbyshire but Derby is.

I live in Alvaston btw so it's not snobbery.

Quad ugly, velodrome ugly, city center very ugly, that fountain thing, Assembly rooms...

I've been working in City Center and parts that used to have character are just either dead or patrolled by drunks or chavs.

I work in places like Stoke and I think it's not massively different now. It used to be worse than Derby.

I work in Notts and even the roughest areas I've been like Hyson Green have many nice buildings. And the actual city center is much nicer imo.

Alvaston where I live... It's full of traffic, ugly buildings, boy racers, awful condition roads, traffic light central and HMO's.

Definitley want to get away asap.

Derby no more a dump than any other City.
Has some great buildings all around apart from near the Derbion , especially around The Strand , Friar Gate , Sadler Gate etc
I was in Cambridge a few weeks ago. Far more beggars and druggies there.
Not been to Alvo for a while so can’t comment on that but.
Notts City apart from a few streets around Hockley is much worse than Derby.
There are some great houses on Dairy House Road , Hartington Street area but like Hyson Green you wouldn’t want to live there.
Just think that folk get a bit snow blind to what is near to them .

Do we have Jake Rooney on a perm or just a loan?

I believe he is going to be a top player in the future, clearly has all the attributes. Be great if we actually have him permanently and not just loan. Needs some time in the first team, reminds me of Teden Mengi

Great game so far, much more comfortable then when we played low league opposition in the past ?

Cybulski on! ? still think he can be great for us, really hope he can get a goal in the last ten minutes

    Perm
