Well yeah, he's the chief exec

Are you sure ? Not seen that , either way doesn’t necessarily mean he is involved in football decisions maybe just signs off DC’s instructions. He was always a money man so don’t see this would be his remit.
Im no Pearce fan but don’t think this would be his doing.

Not happy about Warne purely for ‘that reaction’ when we stayed up, if there’s one thing I’m good at it’s holding a grudge.

that being said, if he comes in and gets us promoted I might get his face tattooed on my arse.

us fans are a fickle lot.

I read that as you would get his arse tattooed on your face ?

On the Rotherham forum they say he's bringing his backroom staff with him. As you would expect.

If we're unable to pay transfers fees for players, I am surprised the EFL would allow us to pay compensation for a new manager - and his staff.

According to Nixon ( pinch of salt required ) a while back  Managerial compo not a problem under the deal.

For comparison with the first season in the 3rd division, games 8 and 9 brought back to back away defeats at Millwall & Bristol Rovers putting us on 11 points

I believe the Bristol Rovers away game 2-1 loss was the last game Kevin Wilson played before being sold to Ipswich to fund the first part of Arthur’s rebuild.
A good day out despite the loss

I thought i'd show a comparison to our promotion season from this division in 1985/86 for a bit of fun. I'll try to do it game by game if there's any interest to read it.

Game number 9 was a 2 - 0 away win at Cardiff City & took us to 13 points - so we're ahead of that. Attendance was just 3,435 at Ninian Park

We'd just beaten Div 1 Leicester City 2 - 0 in the 1st leg of the Milk Cup

It appears that you could only name 1 substitute then as well which surprised me

    Starting lineup:

    Goalkeeper Mark Wallington

    Right back Charlie Palmer

    Central defender Rob Hindmarch

    Central Defender Ross Maclaren

    Left back Steve Buckley

    Midfielder Steve McClaren

    Winger/Midfielder Gary Micklewhite

    Midfielder Geraint Williams

    Forward Trevor Christie

    Forward Bobby Davison

    Winger/Midfielder Jeff Chandler

Substitutions: Paul Blades for Steve McClaren

No mate, he’s better cutting in. More time to twist n turn and get his shot or killer pass away.

He’s been a winger all his career so I doubt your idea will be taken on.

West Ham turned Antonio from a winger to a CF of sorts , similar style of player. Question as @Magicman says further down is would you lose that power on the wing and not gain much benefit ?

I recently found out about this Derby born singer and, whilst his music is quite dated and not completely my bag, he possessed a great voice and creative mind and some of his wonkier blues-based psychedelic stuff is really good.

    Some info here:

Fascinating to me, partly because not many musicians to gain any kind of fame or critical acclaim seem to come from Derby. As far as I know any road!

Maybe some of our older fans could help me out here. Does anyone have memories of him ? Did anyone know him personally? Any relatives out there?

Derby musicians / bands off the top of my head. White Town had a big hit , Anti Pasti did well , The Struts who were formed in Derby are doing well the lead singer sang with Queen the other week at the Foo Fighters drummer tribute.

Got a couple of his albums in my collection. My older Sis saw him early 70’s.
