Godleman is a waste of a batting position . Not sure what’s gone wrong with him over the last couple of years . Think it would probably best for both him and the club if he moved on. Perhaps Yorks will take him and Masood ??

So you'd take that over something more direct and nicking a scrappy 1-0?
In the long run yes , finishing needs to be better that’s obvious but I’d be far more worried if we were not having any shots or chances

Means diddly squat on the league table
It means we are creating chances and goals will follow. Better than creating none

Well another 90 minutes with the same stuff that didn’t work last season …. Rosenior wasn’t the answer last season he isn’t the answer this season …. no goals v Charlton Shrewsbury and now Fleetwood lucky win v Oxford
I don’t want to hear any garbage that that it’s only early in the season the system is the same garbage no imagination let’s keep playing the system that produces 0 goals
Im gonna say it now Rosenior to be replaced … so bad not one mention on Soccer Saturday
Maybe Lampard can return cause he ain’t gonna be in a job much longer where he is
A system that leads to 27 shots away from home. I’ll have that any day of the week.

Be Notts or York’s no doubt if the usual path is followed.

They’re over £160m now. With Maupay and that french dude to follow plus they’re sniffing around bakayoko from Chelsea could be close to £200m by the time they’re done!! Wow!! Just wow! Don’t think anyone expected them to spend that much, could end up being highest spenders in the league.
This “should” set them up to finish mid table and secure them possibly for the next couple of years, or it could end up an unmitigated disaster and lead them to significant FFP breaches and financial problems if relegated. How maranakis runs the club will determine which way it goes. If he sticks by Cooper no matter what they may be ok and possibly establish themselves as a mid-lower premier league club, if he goes by his usual MO demands instant results on his investment and gets the trigger finger out it will blow up spectacularly.
Because they’re our rivals I hope it blows up spectacularly for them but I’m more bothered about us and our focus should just be on getting up there with them and the amazing journey we could go on to get there.
The word laundering springs to mind

They surely must be pushing towards £150m now. Absolute certifiable insanity.
Especially if the true source of his funding is discovered.

How come no Forest fans comment on here anymore? I’d be taking the wazz out of us big time while they chase a champions league spot…. Weird
That would entail them being able to read and write........................................

Wonder why the Umpires, if they noticed it before Mattie faced a ball , didn't just ask him to change his bat after checking ?

The punishment for this infringement does seem totally out of proportion to the crime. Have Derbyshire commented at all?
As follows Angie
Derbyshire County Cricket Club has received a two-point deduction after the Club admitted to a charge relating to its Royal London Cup match against Hampshire on Friday 12 August.
All-rounder Mattie McKiernan was charged and accepted a breach of Directives 3.2 and 3.3 of the Directives of the ECB after he used a cricket bat which failed a bat-gauge test during and after the match. This was due to excessive tape being applied to a bat which itself conformed to regulations.
An Adjudicator of the Cricket Discipline Commission (CDC) considered McKiernan’s clean record and apology and accepted that it was an unintentional breach of the ECB Directives.
Adjudicating, Ricky Needham decided that the offence, while committed unintentionally, must be dealt with on a strict liability basis, in that it is entirely the responsibility of a cricketer to ensure that the equipment being used conforms to the laws of the game.
The two-point penalty is imposed immediately to the club’s Royal London Cup tally.

Not weird at all.
Surely everyone knows that the maximum width of a bat is 4.25" and has been so for over 200 years, since a player for Rygate walked out to bat with a piece of willow wider than the wicket?
Mattie seemingly didn’t ??
I was thinking about the tape rather than the bat . Meaning that it would be a disadvantage to the batter as it would probably not give them a power advantage but maybe more chance of giving a catch off the edge ?
Also surprised that it was the club that was punished and not the player. I expect there will be a lot of bat checking going on now. Good spot by the Umpires . -
How weird is that. Can’t see how the tape would give the batter an advantage only make it easier to get an edge.

Maybe he's been promised cup games? And to be on bench with chance of first team if injuries or form dictates. That's still progression from where he's been, no?
On the bench tonight
