I think it's been enjoyable but we've had the bigger league 1 teams at home and are just beginning our away travels. Oxford, Peterborough and Barnsley are all clubs that will be up and around the top whilst arguably having a better fan-base than average for this division so are bringing a few fans with them. Plymouth will be the same next week. Six months in we may not like this- playing Cheltenham on a saturday where they bring 150 might not be quite as much fun as we expect especially if we're struggling to grind out a result.

The football is fine but you can see a difference in quality in the key areas such as finishing and keeping concentration in the defence. I think if we're plotting a way back to the second division this season we need to keep that in mind.

I guess finally as well this does seem to be a league with a generally 'mardy' set of fans. Already encountered a few fans with chips on their shoulders because we're the 'massive derby county' and daring to celebrate a late winner against their 'tiny outfit'. Hopefully that dissipates too as it's quite unbecoming and unnecessary.

i always chant 'and we're coming straight back up' as it just seems to fit.  Totally agree with an earlier poster about how this chant needs to be a part of our comeback too;  the  chant originated as a response to an  EFL imposed penalty and a campaign against us by two ars**ole chairman so we should definitely keep it in use until we're back in the Premier League for me. Personally, this is also one of my favourite chants, both for some of the memorable renditions last season (such as fulham at home where it was sang for 10 minutes at the start and end of the game in high spirits) and the fact everyone knows it so cascades around the stadium creating a wonderful noise.

Rosenior is not perfect but boy I think he's started wonderfully well. This is a group that came together incredibly late in pre-season and to lose only 1 game is a testament to his skills. He speaks well, has created a stable defensive foundation whilst still creating chances and plays an expansive game. This is not Rooney ball but a more finessed expansive vision of how we should be playing. Yes, we're struggling for goals, but we are creating plenty of chances. If we weren't creating chances then I'd be critical about that. I still think Collins doesn't make much tactical sense in this team at times and we need a midfield runner but patience will be key. I'd sign him up for a 2 year contract with a 1 year extension if we achieve promotion. Once this group comes together and work together a bit more there is a danger we could run away with this league tbh.

All the Ukrainian SSR did was declare independence based on its existing borders. The referendum a few months later was carried by a majority in all Oblasts, including Eastern Ukraine and Crimea. The Ukrainian SSR was one of the original members of the United Nations and remained so until it became independent. It's a lawfully constituted independent Republic. If parts of the country wished to secede, they should have followed the paths recognised by international law and Putin should have kept his nose out.
Those who argue that parts of Ukraine should be part of Russia have a poor grasp of both history and international law.

I actually would rather the FA and others boycott the tournament yes. Let's make no bones about it, Qatar and the UAE have engaged in extensive sports washing. They've been using massive investment in tournaments and teams to lighten their image, raise their soft power levels and hope that we ignore their terrible crimes against their own and others citizens. The mealy mouthed excuses are inexcusable and the hypocrisy staggering given how so many players are taking the knee for 'social justice'. It's a  f****ng joke.

I'm sure you have but if you go down to Leith (literally a 15 minute bus ride) it becomes much less touristy and the bars are just as good, if not better than directly in the center. There is an absolutely cracking burger and cocktail bar right near my gf's place that I couldn't recommend highly enough if you're ever in the area.

Leeds Ram got a reaction from Ellafella in Matchday Thread - Fleetwood Town v Derby County (20/08 15:00)
Having watched the highlights from fleetwood we appeared to be much stronger than we were against Shrewsbury. I thought in the first half of Shrewsbury we looked okay but struggled to create that much and the second half they were arguably the better team. Against Fleetwood, the chances looked clearer and there were more than against Shrewsbury. One thing that does concern is that apart from Collins we do not appear to have a natural goalscorer in the team, this could be one reason why we're not scoring that many. A second reason could be that we don't have a central figure running behind the defence. Both our wingers are making those runs but these aren't oftentimes accompanied by a central presence.

Isn't that the exact joie de vivre of being a football supporter, you go down the pub after the game and chat to your mates about decisions and tactics and poor substitutions and so on....you're the one now being negative saying no football fan should be able to even discuss those matters which is exactly what folks are doing on here.
Makes my pee boil that the posters who are complaining about other forum members being negative or hyper critical are exactly that themselves. Hypocrisy at its worst.

Rosenior is doing a decent job. He's got us playing nice football but the approach will need looking at i think later in the season. Both full backs running so far forward when our cb's aren't the most mobile will cause us problems. Wildsmith doesn't look overly confident a lot of the time and it could be an issue. We also suffer from a lack of midfield runners, and a lack of play between the lines that makes us at times predictable and easy to play against. I still think we'll get the playoffs at least but we do need to work on these issues

I'm not overly concerned. Against Oxford, the second half was much better than the first. The last two games we've seen them struggle slightly but A) it's a brand new squad finding their groove B) it's very very hot atm so it's no surprise we're slowing down slightly in the second half.

Last time he had a Republican congress and he could make drastic changes he made an absolute meal of fixing Obama care, tax rates etc. because he's chaotic, capricious, and doesn't seem like a good delegator. In the next cycle, if he won the Presidency (I'm not convinced he'll even win the Republican primary) then he'll likely be up against at least a democratic house possibly senate too. The result would be absolute gridlock legislatively. Whilst executive orders are increasingly common and powerful tools of the executive they aren't law making tools that addresses the thing we're discussing limiting the scope of some of what Trump could do.
