There are plenty of legitimate views in this area especially in the realm of gender identity and sexuality. Yes, it is good society has become more open and inclusive and schools should be accommodating towards minorities. However, it strikes me as obvious, that most teens will experiment with both and indeed a complete lack of norms could be part of a complex mix of circumstances eviscerating the mental health of our young people.

Sexual and gender identity is such a minefield, open to changes for a wide variety of reasons that any significant change should be treated with a degree of skepticism at first. Of course teenagers should have appropriate information about sexual and gender identity but this needs to be accompanied with careful support. We also need to shy away from the idea that because someone is 'gender non conforming' i.e., they possess some traditional male characteristics if they are female or the opposite way around then that means they are 'transgender'. It's a weird, very conservative, 1950's idea of gender that is now being paraded as progressive.

Wycombe are a strange bunch. Honestly not sure what their beef is with us as a club, it wasn't us who extended the submission deadline for the accounts, it was the EFL. Maybe it's because their nearest rival is 'Oxford' and that must in of itself be quite depressing. I fancy us for this tbh, they didn't look like much when we played them at home, apart from Mehmeti scoring a decent goal we absolutely battered them second half and deservedly won.  Can only see this going the same way.

Nice touch from the club to mark what is an impressive achievement for two young players in such a relaxed and accessible manner.
Bird has a real presence about him, off the pitch as much as on it. A calmness and maturity that belies his years, I guess his personal experiences at such a young age will have shaped that, if there is some sort of afterlife I reckon his old man is looking on proud.
How great would it be to gain promotion back to the championship and beyond to further success, keeping this core of “homegrown” youth together. Bird, Knight, Cashin, Sibley, Thommo etc going from strength to strength further supported by new talent brought into the club or through the same academy path they themselves have trodden. The occasional wizened old pro to keep them grounded and help them grow….I’m realistic enough to know it probably won’t play out that way, but what a treat it would be if it did. ?

He said... and I quote... "Every single one of them deserved a chair to the face".

There was no mention of whether he did or did not actually carry that out!
All down to interpretation of course, but I reckon they got what was coming to them, and this "Slightly portly Janner" fella is as hard as nails, and a bit mental.
I'll not be dissing him online, just in case!

It was an odd game. First half i thought we were too slow in our tempo as well as pedestrian and predictable in our attacking play. The few times that Morecambe got forward they looked like they could trouble us. Warne must have put a rocket up them second half. We sped the tempo up, used our pace on the flanks and had much more fluid movement. In the end it could have been 7 or 8, not seen a mauling like that for a while. If we play as we did in the first half for the rest of the season we'll struggle to go up, if we play like the second half I fancy us for automatic promotion.

I've been really ill for the last few weeks, so missed both Bolton and West Ham.
Still not feeling that good, but a nice walk along the river and then feasting on that liquid football has been quite the tonic.

On the question of Mel he should always, and I mean always, be remembered for the deception that he fed all of us during the final weeks of his tenure. His obfuscation of the facts and failure to accept responsibility for a failed administration was and remains absolutely disgraceful. He said he put is in administration to expedite proceedings when the process almost led to our annihilation. If he ever had the audacity to return to Pride Park I'd want him chased off the premises by a rightfully angry mob of fans.
The business plan is an unfortunate necessity. We need to prove we can be run efficiently and effectively. At this level, it hopefully will not kill us too badly. In the championship these kinds of restrictions would be a bigger issue. The EFL were a masterclass in uselessness, to the point that our captain on national radio called them out which was almost beyond belief at the time. Personally, I'm all for singing F*** the EFL as Parry hands over the league 1 playoff trophy.
