After considering the Wycombe chairman’s views I have decided the appropriate retort is:

Having just read that the Wycombe chairman is going to sue Derby for 10-15 million quod I pretty much give up. An american lawyer in charge of a club who no one cares about suing us for apparent accountancy discrepancies years ago when they were two leagues below us. Seems from the quotes to be relishing trying to put us out of business. Modern football. Well done Wycombe. Hope you are proud of yourselves.

The EFL will relegate us one way or another. The timing of the announcement tells you everything in my opinion. They lost but will do their level best to derail next season. Now we are in a position where we can’t really plan or attract players. Vindictive and unprofessional. I take it they appeal until they get the decision they want. What they should do is allow our recruitment team to sign whoever they want if they really want to punish us. 
 
If Derby don’t announce that the accounts have been re-submitted and we are fine then I will be worried. They have had years to prepare them so surely should be in the post already.

Good performance last night. Comfortable. Thought we bowled very well. Can’t argue with Scrimshaw’s economy rate! Du Plooy looks in good nick at the moment. Can we play them every week? 

Sadly, we are short of quality. I really enjoyed Du Plooy’s innings and Critchley again showing that he deserves to play in a better team than the perennial bridesmaids. Born into a life of sporting misery but one day I will taste victory and it will be ever so sweet due to the years of complete dross!
