Oh. My. God.
They hadn't won in ages, we're second and at home...why not attack them?
Keep the best centre half in the league at centre half?
An appalling game of league one thud and blunder football, refereed weakly, and gifted by grotesque errors. Repeat of Saturday in many regards.
Bradley had two goes at clearing before he got roasted for the equaliser, and he nearly got caught in possession a few times.
Not getting into the Warne thing, but I don't think I can commit to 23 more turgid episodes of that sort if we don't get out this time. When's the last time we were properly entertained? Oxford away? At home? Genuinely can't recall.
Cash MoM, Smith, Nyambe and Adams had a pop. There weren't many more could claim to have earnt their wages.
Very, very, very pissed off.

MaltRam reacted to ariotofmyown in What are your Top 10 favourite all time series (not comedy)
This thread keeps reminding me to watch Gomarrah, I really should.
To help me narrow this down, I've gone back to look at "The Ultimate Watchlist" you can find on Now TV. It's got all these with the starred ones definitely in my own top 10...
Sopranos
Succession*
Game of Thrones
Band of Brothers
The Wire*
Sherlock
Six Feet Under*
The Leftovers*
Boardwalk Empire
Justified
Big Little Lies
The Deuce
(It's also got brilliant stand alone series Watchmen, Chernobyl, The Last of Us, Mare of Easttown, The Night Of, True Detective plus loads of comedies too)
If you have never watched many of these, they are yours for approx the price of 2 pints a month.
Sopranos-it is obvioulsy great, but I'm not sure it's 100% in my top 10. I did watch it late though, so it was hyped to death already. But so was the Wire and it was even better than I hoped
I'd probably have Breaking Bad + Better Call Saul and Sons of Anarchy + Mayans in as 2 entries. Which is maybe cheating.
The This is England spinoffs in there too.
That leaves me with 3 to choose, with Sopranos maybe included.

Well, bugger.
A poor game between two sides who barely mustered an attractive passage of play between them. Two soft goals from corners and a decent strike from a bloke given acres of space and all the time in the world to pick his spot.
A lot of huff and puff from us but so many flunked passes and moves stillborn through a lack of care.
Bolton did us a favour. Please, please let's get back to 433 on Tuesday.

I wouldn't ban David Icke, his views are so mad that they defeat themselves in all but the most mad company.

I think the attachment to our own youngsters is understandable, but probably taints our view a bit.
If we had been looking to bring in a conference bench warmer in Jan, there would have been little enthusiasm.
Let the lad develope with no pressure this season and come back with a better idea of where he needs to be this summer.

Fair cop, I stand corrected. He was indeed banned from Holland to avoid him publicly stating at a far right rally that covid was Jewish conspiracy spread through the 5G network.
Seems perfectly reasonable to say he's a fruitloop though, surely?

I'm also a qualified accountant, and I too find it baffling why anyone would describe the amortisation policy as "crooked" ?
Anyone with a rudimentary understanding of reporting standards ( ie, FRS102 & IFRS15 etc ) would know that the policy would be subject to independent audit, and would have been picked up if that was the case. And remember, the IDC found no fault with the policy itself as the initial charge was dismissed, the issue on appeal was disclosure and not the policy per se.
And in fact, the audit files were also subject to an additional review by the ICAEW too - which is about as thorough as you can get.
Maybe SP simply can't disclose private matters because he's an employee of the company and as such has a professional + moral + legal obligation not too, or maybe his simply doesn't want to talk about it ..... and maybe we ought to give him the benefit of the doubt as DC clearly has ( and by effectively saving the club he should have earned our trust as fans ).
