MaltRam reacted to CapeTownRams in Bradford City at home Match Thread
All the players and staff should have a week’s wages deducted for misconduct in the work place..: and the cash be given to the fans who turned up to watch…
Atrocious.

Faie enough on both counts. If it happens, great, if not valid reasons are there and we move on.

It was wrong, but it was an easy mistake to make. I'll let him off.

MaltRam reacted to Jimbo Ram in Fleetwood Away Match Thread
Just collected the mother in law from her Xmas vacation so had to record it and watch it when I got back. Was a bit like the famous Likely Lads episode ensuring I didn’t get the result. A decent win, not pretty but got the job done. Also on another day could have had 2 pens. On to Bradford 😊🐏

MaltRam reacted to Jourdan in January- An opportunity to be in the race for the automatics
It’s a cliche but the best approach to take things one game at a time.
The first step is bouncing back quickly and getting a positive result v Fleetwood to consolidate our position in the top six. We can’t take that for granted in itself.
There is no point focusing on other teams and getting wrapped up in chasing them down. They are not going to be worrying about us.
Portsmouth, Bolton and Peterborough will simply be looking to win the next game and maintain their own pace. Barnsley, Oxford and Stevenage will be pushing hard too.
We have to focus on ourselves and get the small wins and things will snowball. If we can stay laser focused and routinely win the games we would be expected to, it puts less pressure on the games v the top 6/7.

Won fair and square, but their goal was coming. We were getting penned in horribly.
All in all another "meh" performance against a very limited side.
Ho hum. We need another winning run now, and that's a start.

Mixed bag performance for me.
Poor first 15 then took control till about 60 mins, then brucking it for the next 20.
I didn't realise Marriott was playing till he went off and they suddenly were galvanised.
We made subs 10 mins too late.
Lovely 3 points though.

Tomori, Mount and Wilson in a decent squad and not promoted from the Champ? The prosecution rests.

Been on holiday, and coming gack through the airport my Mrs fainted and collapsed on the luggage carousel. Fortunately she came round again quite quickly.

The Great Escaper.
Superb performance from Glenda Jackson. Oscar worthy. Michael Caine extremely good.
Nice story, well told. 7/10....but 20/10 for Glenda Jackson in her last ever role.

Oppenheimer.
Grand themes, all star cast, epic length.
Bit drab. 5/10.

MaltRam reacted to Comrade 86 in Rate the last film you saw partie deux
Thoughts on Oppenheimer are simply that it's a great piece of cinema, adorned with a cast to die for and faultless art direction, so why did I not enjoy it? I had a similar reaction to Flowers of the Killer Moon which I thought I was certain to enjoy, but both films seem so self-conscious that they were hard to warm to. I'll probably try them both again at some point, as perhaps it was my disposition and not that of the films, which both seem universally heralded.
6.5/10
That small grumble pales into insignificance compared to my dislike of The Killer which, as @Alph has reminded me, was probably the most bone-jarringly asinine movie I've seen in years. The plot: contract killer bungles job, much trouble ensues. Even with Fassbender in the lead role, it's hardly an original premise, but in this case we are treated to first person introspective of a man so bad at his job I'd probably kill him myself were he on my payroll.
4/10

Fairly beaten by the better team on the day. Gutted to lose late, but they probably deserved it.
On to the next one.
