A centre half not a reich back

I’ve carried out training in Qatar in several occasions, mainly for officials of government departments and the petrol industry. But only once or twice have I met a Qatari who are very much in the minority. Nearly everyone I’ve trained have been Indians who seem to run the administrative elements. I have seen lots of Saudis who fill the hotel restaurants in the evenings, coming over to see their mistresses and drink lager, then go back over the border in their Range Rovers.  Qatar generally is like a mini Dubai. I much prefer Oman.

And the strange expression “how is he in himself?”

And the omnipresent ‘Yeah 100%.’
As if 98% agreement was an option.
 

People who start a reply with “So….” still annoy me as do people who say “Absolutely” instead of “Yes”, but my current moan is people who say “from the get go” instead of “start” or “off”. Yes I know it’s a US College abbreviation of “Get Ready, Get Steady, Go!” but for some reason hearing it stirs up strange feelings of ire instead me. Grrrr!

This is what snow looks like. 10 foot of the stuff up here in Aberdeenshire as you southern softies turn up to football games with the sun out and grass looking green as ever, wondering if it’s going to be off because it’s a scorching -2.

Doesnt change the fact that its a completely meaningless stat. We dont have many Derby managers to compare to in tier 3 of the pyramid and he hasn't managed enough games either
