So I took the opportunity to ask Danny Mills on a Reddit AMA where he would rank the rams amongst his former club's...

.. He's now in a league with one other...

Not surprising though, played 3 games (212 minutes) for us, in that season, picked an injury that finished his career.

Having read the three favourite Derby players thread…

I just don’t get the whole Bryson thing. Playing-wise, barring one unbelievable season aside he was just a tidy, energetic midfielder who would stretch the play.

Shackell should’ve been POTY in 11/12.

And then off the pitch, he tried to force a move to Burnley in 2014 which resulted in us giving him a contract worth £5,000,000.

The unbelievable season he scored half his goals in 3 games. Martin should have been play of the season 13/14 and would have been if it wasn't for Bryson's hat trick against forest.

I have received an email today concerning my electric meter from British Gas...below is part of it.

"The radio service that supports your meter is being switched off. So we need to replace your electricity meter to make sure it continues to work after June 2025.

Your current meter switches rates using a radio signal, helping your meter change between day and night rates. This is often used by people who have electric storage systems, panel heaters or immersion heaters in water tanks – as some of these typically charge up overnight"

Check if you need to replace your meter

You’ll probably know if you have a radio teleswitch (RTS) or dynamically teleswitched (DTS) meter. You might have one if:

you live in the East Midlands or Scotland

your house is heated using electricity

you have electric storage and water heaters

you get cheaper energy at different times of day, for example if you have a peak and off-peak rate for electricity

As I live in Derby the above affects myself, Is this a sly way of making those that don't want a Smart Meter to be forced to have one?

I have had a similar email today. I have tried to get a smart previously, 9 months waiting list, week before my appointment and they cancelled it, didn't bother trying to rearrange.

No idea if it is a sly way getting people on a smart meter or not though.

But my job isn’t a dream job.

It’s his prerogative not to kick a ball again. But I just find it poor that he had no interest in playing.

If somebody can prove that nobody came in for him or that we refused to loan him out then I’ll take it back.

We’ll never agree on this one because out of all the players to grace our shirt he’s up there with my most disliked.

It’s an interesting take you’ve got, so in the absence of proof that another team wanted him or the club didn’t try and offload him it’s all Anya’s fault, yet you can’t prove he had no interest in playing, how do you know he wasn’t doing all he could to be picked to play? Clubs are likely only going to show an interest in him if he was given an opportunity to show his ability on the pitch right? Can’t earn himself a move if he’s not in the shop window type thing.

Looking at it objectively it was a massive failure as signings go taking into account the fee and wages, but it’s not on him that we paid the fee, or gave him the wages and contract. To hold such personal blame and dislike against him as a person seems odd to me, chalk it down to bad business by all parties involved and move on.

Ed Dawes reported that Birmingham came in for him on loan, he refused to go. It was a chance for him to earn himself a contract at another club after his contract expired here. He would have been paid the same, but Birmingham would have paid part of his wages.

Please do not use this board to bump topics to discuss player performances, these discussions should take place in the main Derby County Forum, or Ex Rams for players that have left the club
