The history of football suggests that a manager that does well at one club doesn’t necessarily do well at another. That Liam is doing well at Hull is no guarantee that he would have done the same here. That being said, I thought he was relieved of duty too soon when it happened and I still think he was treated a little harshly (unless there are things we don’t know about, like contract issues, interest from elsewhere and so on).  Pleased for him that’s he doing well. Seems like a thoroughly decent chap.

Part of me thinks it wasn't down to him managing the team but down to managing the club, and how for a first job it would have been a big ask to make all the changes that have happened. And with all the personnel changes that happened over the summer makes me believe that Clowes wanted someone from the outside to come in and make the hard choices. It would have been more difficult for Rosenoir to say that now is the time to change Wassall, for example, as they would have been working together for 3 years and built up a relationship (not saying Rosenoir couldn't have done it, just that it is easier for Warne to do).

Yes, I thought the ref was the best we’ve had. Yellows given were reasonable on both sides, let play run when he could. missed the chance to give us an advantage late on but no one is perfect. Barring the guy who made sure Hourihan got booked the Exeter players weren’t drama queens or shirt pullers. It was to my mind a proper sporting contest and the ref helped make it so, along with the right attitude from all the players.

Thought their number 5 went down twice with minimal to no contact in the first half but agree otherwise.

It’s really 3 at the back when defending  moving to a 5

    Nyambe   Nelson and Cashin

    Wilson                                     NML

Got to go now mate. Have a nice day

It was 100% 4 at the back, Nyambe was pushing on and joining in with the attacks.

It's just pressing a button over and over again, no skill, no tactics, just feeding the addition of touching a phone screen.

You were just fed up of losing all your money to me really 😅

I really hope we don’t regret giving him only a 6 month deal, he is easily a top 10 championship player.

Difficult because he didn't want to be in League One and I can only imagine his wage is that of a mid-high end Championship defender too.

It remains to be seen what happens with Cashin, but we probably could only commit to January before releasing some extra funds in the budget through a player sale or two, or three. If we are going well and he's a big part of it then I'm sure we will do everything we can to keep him.

I'm in no doubt that his early form will be catching the attention of some Championship clubs though, so it will be an interesting negotiation.

We've got the option to extend his contract to the end of the season, don't we?
