    When? Sat 2nd Sept
Where? Toughsheet Community Stadium, Burnden Way, Horwich BL6 6JW (Located in the Middlebrook Retail & Leisure Park).
Last Season Bolton finished 5th in League 1 last season before losing to Barnsley in the Playoff Semi-Final.
Opening 5 Matches The Trotters started the season with three straight L1 victories, scoring three goals in each game. They have since gone two without a win as Saturday's draw at Burton followed a heavy 0-4 defeat at home to Wigan.
BWFC Dangermen On paper it would appear to be their two top scorers, former Burton man Adeboyejo (four goals) and NI international Dion Charles (three goals). They have lost two fine loanees from last season though as keeper Trafford and the Liverpool RB Conor Bradley have moved on.
History This fixture will be the 136th time these two Founder Members of the Football League have met in a competitive match. In the Cup competitions it is Bolton who have had the upper hand with five wins to the Rams' two.
In League encounters though it is Derby who have had the better of it. Of 128 League meetings DCFC have won exactly half. The overall League record is as follows:
    P 128  W 64  D 23  L 41
In recent meetings between the sides Wanderers have won just once in the past dozen matches compared to the Rams' seven wins with four draws.
Although this is an away match for us, our home record against Bolton is fantastic, with Derby unbeaten since a 0-2 loss at the Baseball Ground way back in Sept 1981. Since then the Rams have won 10 and drawn four on Derby soil. That run includes wins in the last five at Pride Park, scoring 17 and conceding three in those five games.
Connections Players who have represented both clubs include Frannie Lee, John McGovern, Jeff Chandler, Nicky Hunt and currently at Bolton is Cameron Jerome. There is also a connection through our ex-gaffer and their former player Phil Brown whilst ex-Rams player Ian Evatt is seemingly doing a fine job at Bolton as manager.
Pair of Titbits Firstly, Bolton's 73 seasons in the top division is the most of any English club without winning the title.
And secondly, and I like this one tbh, the first ever Football League goal came in this very fixture on 8th Sept 1888 on the original opening day of the season. It was scored at 3:47pm (3:45pm kick offs all round then) by Bolton's Kenny Davenport although Derby went on to win the game 6-3.
Rams Expected Line Up I'm not aware of any injuries picked up against Peterborough so we could see another unchanged starting XI as Derby seek a third straight win.

Call me a purist but it’s cheating and that’s not how I want Derby County to win games.

I wouldn’t actually - I’d moan about us not keeping concentration and seeing the match out.

If he wanted to time waste then he surely could just have fell to the floor holding his hamstring or leg generally. The rolling around like his head had been attacked with an axe was absolutely pathetic. Was he trying to get their player sent off too? Nope, no excuse for that extreme behaviour.

Not his shot stopping but his shithousery.

After Peterbrough got their second one of their players took the ball off him and he went down holding his head. He was not touched on his head. He stayed down and got treatment for a fake injury.

I hate faking, but faking head contact is just trying to get a player sent off. Needs stamping out the game.

I'm only posting this to give more attention to the event for Forsyth, he deserves it for putting up with us lot for 10 years.
Please let it be known, I would not be posting anything cricket related usually. I'm better than that.
    Anyway, here goes....

    Don't be so petty.
Sport, football, some games you win, some you lose. It's the long term direction of the football club that matters.
If it's cold one day in August, it doesn't mean that climate change isn't happening.
    And it's not "hate".
I don't think Warne is the right manager for us. I don't like his tactics. 4-4-2 has somewhat been forced on him. Forsyth introduced him to Waggy.
Nevertheless, of course I want Warne to succeed. Because, if he does then Derby does and we can all rejoice in that.
Let's hope we hear from you the next time we play like we did against Oxford.
Now, quit your jibing and enjoy the win 🐏

I received a phone call an hour before the match, telling me a much loved Uncle had passed away.
Felt like I'd been punched in the gut, and went upstairs to have a quiet moment.
Woke up at 3.30, flipped the radio on to hear it was 1-1, tolerated Dawes for a minute or two, then flew to Belgium to watch the rest of the game.
3 Derby goals in my first 10 minutes of watching was the kind of medicine I needed.
    Thanks Waggy, and Cashin.

Days like this make supporting this rabble a pleasure 👌
I think the new signings must have had an effect on the first XI as the level of intensity was superb from minute 1. Unlucky to go behind, Rooney chose the wrong man to track & left their left wing to pick out Clarke Harris from 10 inches. Thereafter, went at them with Washington & Waggy running at them with the ball & pressing hard when not.
Suffice ro say the first 45 minutes were a thing of absolute beauty. My head hurt from the celebrating, loved every moment 🖤
A lot of fantastic performances & obviously Waggy takes it. I said to lad next to me before the game he's on for 25 this year, he's SO suited to this team & style of play. Three great goals & worked his backside off throughout. Big mention for Liam Thompson though...good grief, what a little player he's becoming. A tiger in front of his back 4 & a bone fide threat running into the final 3rd...the prospect of him & Fornah together is very exciting.
Back in Leeds now, few beers deep & 86 quid train ticket lighter cos of the strikes but with a silly grin on my face. Love you Derby 🖤
