Was going to say one of the most amazing places i`ve visited is the Uprising Museum in Warsaw , it was set up in a Power Station due for destruction , when the locals were asked what should replace it , they said a  focal point and reminder for future generations of the sacrifice and resistance in WW2 , It  contains illegal printing presses hidden from the Germans , resistance identity cards , and various stuff saved by families and passed down , was even a small plane hanging from the ceiling that dropped propaganda leaflets , would recommend it to anyone visiting Warsaw 

I reckon most of us are very welcoming, it’s just that a certain small segment of society has an overly loud voice. 

It might be deemed political but I’d give a huge round of applause to Poland the nation for coping so openly and positively with Ukrainian refugees. No reflection on anyone else, Poland is their neighbour after all .. but you’d want neighbours like the Poles wouldn’t you ?

No. Parker joined us in the Premiership in 96. His England career was over a while before he joined us.

Even in 76/77 when the crowd sang "Charlie's the king of Derby", Kevin was always my first love. (Charlie was great aswell though)

So Kevin Hector will always be my favourite ever Derby County player - favourite ever footballer.
I've written on other threads how I won a school essay competition in 1970 "Who I would most like to meet" and wrote about Zak and why. My prize was to go to the BBG to watch a training session, get a tour of the ground, meet the players and even Cloughie in his office. Cherished memories.
So it makes me very sad that he chose not to participate in the 1972 celebrations. Yet from the reports of today and other days, he looked well, was happy to meet fans and talk about the old days. The club is - or will be soon - under new ownership. So why is there still this breakdown in relationship between the great man and the club? Or is it actually with former team mates?
As for being shy, not liking the limelight, surely walking onto the pitch with 10-15 others would not be so bad for someone who played in front of crowds of tens of thousands in the past. He could do that without having to make speeches or being in an individual spotlight.
I just wish he still felt part of it.

Unless youre one of the small creditors that could go out of business of course.

Think we'll have to agree to disagree but interesting take on things.
I would argue it is televised football that is in decline, not live football. The appeal of Man City v Spurs (to take your example) is not the same as it would've been 20/30 years ago...no novelty & people tend to half watch. Of course there is no competition for Saturday 3pm kick offs which is when we will largely be playing.
Going to the match meanwhile is a social thing & a being 'part of the experience' thing. Questions of quality not that relevant therefore but think you might be surprised by the quality in League One compared to the Championship, it isn't that different. We'll be there to support Derby though & how we play is most important. Given the trauma of the last 2 years, I dont think we massively care who we play...that may change in time but not for next season.
Re season tickets, people will remember the fantastic atmospheres at PP this season & will want a part of that again. That had little to do with the opposition or even the quality of football...it was all about us. Suspect we will sell well although some will pick & choose matches as ever. Burton not really comparable being a club tenth of the size of Derby.
As to Crewton's point, a 15k average suggests some gates of 12/13k. I'd be astonished if we went that low. Games against Sheff Weds/Ipswich likely to attract 25k plus & away sides will bring plenty as they will see PP as a big day out. Expect full away allocations from likes of Port Vale, Lincoln & Bristol Rovers as well as the bigger sides.
