I feel sorry for this Alonso guy. It must be terrible for a far right party to use your identity and name to promote their party without your permission. I definitely believe young Erik in this one!

Immediate relegation and a 12 points deduction next year.
Or they allow Alonso to pass the fit and proper person test.

    Hey there.

Derby stayed up, and we did a podcast about it:

It's over! After a chaotic shambles of a season, Derby County have stayed in the Championship by the skin of their teeth. A jubilant Chris, Richard and Tom give a collective, 'Thank god that's over' as we discuss the incredible six-goal final day rollercoaster and assess whether Derby's escape merely papers over the cracks of the Rams' long term problems.
There's also your Five Word Reviews, and a chat with Rams fan Jimmy Gregory, one of dozens who followed the game from outside Pride Park before celebrating with the players on full time.

The other two could continue fulfilling the terms of their contracts after suspension.....Keogh could not!
Keogh was offered a club paid taxi home, which he refused.
Keogh was not wearing a seatbelt in the accident.
Keogh was not fired on the spot.
Keogh started rehab with the clubs support.
Keogh was offered a new contract at a reduced wage, offering him some security, despite him almost destroying his own career.
What else should the club have done?

£2.3m?  Blimey, I bet that made his eyes bulge!

Money in the bank, or living a long and prosperous retirement as a DCFC legend?
I know which one I'd have chosen... but then I guess we are made from different stock!
Personally, I hope we all get another chance to see him "Cry on the telly".  I'll laugh my gonads off, if we do!  From club hero to absolute zero, in my eyes, at least.

    BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

    EDIT:
My thoughts and opinions on this subject have always been... and remain... solely based on morality, not legalities.
The law, as we know, is an ass... which is quite ironic, considering the subject matter is Richard Keogh... or Keeyore, as I will now call him!
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!   (In case he missed the first one!)

What could Derby do that would surprise you?
Seriously, come August would you be shocked if they were signing Mbappe but playing on Chadd Park?

    Exactly this.
The article says: "The PDRC [Player Related Dispute Commission] held that Mr Keogh had not committed gross misconduct, that he had not brought the club into serious disrepute and that he had been wrongly dismissed by the club.”
What utter drivel. And contemptuous that Keogh wouldn't take the proposed pay cut but wanted to sit on his arse collecting his millions for what should be clear to anyone was committing gross misconduct and bringing the club into serious disrepute. He even knocked Theresa May's Brexit deal off the front pages!
He knows it was entirely his fault and his actions now risk the future of the club and the community that surrounds it. If I ever see him at Pride Park he'll get the mother of all booing. Shame on him.

ariotofmyown reacted to JfR in Keogh Sacked
It's only a small snippet, but it sounds from the Guardian article that the case wasn't found in his favour due to inconsistency, but solely because they didn't think he'd done anything wrong:
"The LAC has heard and dismissed an appeal under the regulations of the EFL by Derby against the decision of the PRDC in the case of Richard Keogh. The PDRC held that Mr Keogh had not committed gross misconduct, that he had not brought the club into serious disrepute and that he had been wrongly dismissed by the club."
From that, it sounds like if all three had been sacked, Keogh would have still have won his case as he "had not committed gross misconduct" and "had not brought the club into serious disrepute".

I don’t care if he had a good case or not.
If I was the club captain, got pissed, got in the back of a drunk’s car and ended up putting myself out of action for 12 months, I’d grow some balls, take some responsibility and accept the inevitable sacking as punishment for my stupidity.

Takeover update. I am still confident of my takeover being completed imminently.
I just have to refinance the capital to buy the club by borroing against the unique reflective properties of Colin Gibson's head.
Here a picture of a nice house (to prove how rich I am):

Just didn't happen though did it? Why make such big claims? Just say you've been unhappy how he's run it in the last few years, trying to claim you knew as a child Mel wasn't going to run the club correctly is just a bit silly.

I've been open minded on Erik so far, but this has tipped me over the edge to being against him. The Matt Southall links, the Indonesian links, the Vox links, the allegations of a lack of money, I could look past them, but there's absolutely no way I want our club ran by someone that uses TikTok.

Surely if you put yourself in danger, then subsequently get injured which means you can't continue in your job, your employer shouldn't have to cover your wages.
If I deliberately put acid in my eyes, then I couldn't see for 2 years, should my work pay me for 2 years when I couldn't work?

    Quite enjoyed it.
Not sure about how plausible it is that they seem to have an ocg related case once every 2-3 years. Presumably interspersed with other work.
Still, least it gives them a reason for forgetting bits and pieces plus retreading old ground.
Carmichael is a believability dislikable character but even then there were hints of an epiphany moment towards the end.
