That’s not the point its about integration

Also I’m worried Warne is overtraining the players in Spain .

    They have niggles already

    It's exactly the point.

If we accept that Warne wants, and realises that we need a goalscorer, then it obviously means that at the moment we have been unable to get one that is better than we already have.

I personally feel that getting a good one once the season has started is far better than getting a couple of average ones in July just so that we can integrate them.

  2. I like him a lot. He lost his confidence last season but if he can strengthen up a bit and focus on what he does well rather than trying to be something he isn't, he could be a top player.

Strangely I think he's better suited to the championship than league 1 but hopefully he'll prove that he can cope at this level and go on to be a star.

  3. I'd be looking to play him at defensive midfield for u23s (or even send him out on loan to play that position) and get him used to that role. He reads the game better than any 19 year old I've ever seen, he keeps play really simple and he rarely gives the ball away. He needs to develop his strength and he could be an absolute star.

Excellent move to extend his deal.

His best football for us was that first spell when he broke through, basically playing as a split striker off a focal point up front.  You want him getting on the ball, running at defenders in the final third and getting shots off.  Not doing death-sprints up and down the wing, chasing opposing wingers and hugging the touchline to get crosses in.

I have to disagree, he had a couple of eye catching displays but nothing more than that

  5. One of the biggest problems we seemed to have at the moment is the amount or wickets we like after drinks breaks. It's so predictable at the moment and losing Stokes and Broad within a few minutes of the afternoon drinks break just killed any chance we had of winning.

  6. As most have acknowledged, it was out to the letter of the law but it could have been solved with a bit of strong umpiring in my opinion. If the umpire says that the over was complete, so he wasn't out, that is the end of the story and neither team can argue.

  7. Why is big trav getting so much stick?

He is providing information that you can chose to ignore if you want.

Whether he knows stuff or not is immaterial, it's a f*ckin football forum, and he's posting on a rumours thread. So if any of you moaners can explain where he is in the wrong, I'm sure that the rest of us would really appreciate the benefit of your wisdom.

Keep posting Trav, ignore the moaning minority, the rest of us enjoy your insights.

  8. It must be so hard to give any kind of interview these days with the over analysis of every word, its ridiculous.

For me the interview was interesting but not particularly enlightening, as most sensible people already understand the way these things work. But I think that the determination to be upset is so overwhelming for some people that they can't help themselves when it comes to ripping these things apart.

If I was Paul Warne I'd wonder whether it was worth offering such candour preferring to just offer one word answers. I also wonder how some of these people would cope if Arthur Cox was in charge these days, getting any information out of him was like pulling teeth.

  9. I think the value of Knight is only noticed when he isn't available. We are a significantly weaker team when he doesn't play.

Having said that, I think that the time is right to move him on and bring in a replacement that is chosen by Warne, to play the way Warne wants to play

  10. Details matter, not age.

My wife and I got together even she was 17 and I was 31. She is now 43 and we are still married.

This isn't a defence of Phillip schofield, because he's a complete narcissist in my opinion, but the age is only a factor when it comes to the legalities in my opinion.

  11. Barnsley have been well and truly shafted. I'm just glad I'm not fussed who wins. VAR is an appalling addition to the game. Its run by referees for the benefit of referees and adds nothing to the game.

Shades of Huddersfield and Forest last season when VAR decided who went up
