Mine neither. Apparently I said I'd buy her a nice dinner tonight (takeaway obvs!) but she's blue-screened her PC and has been moaning for hours that I won't lend her mine. Says she can't read the menus on her phone. Yeah, right! There's beans and crackers in the cupboard love!
* I'm laughing now but she's terrifying and I know I'll be paying a heavy price tomorrow, literally!!!

It's Flemish stew - tastes utterly fantastic.
3 or 4 chopped onions 7 or 8 cloves of garlic, chopped 250 g mushrooms (I use chestnut mushrooms, but any really) 2 carrots, sliced thinly (julienne) 400 g beef (I tend to use shin beef - cheapish, but a decent cut) 25 cl beef stock 60 cl Belgian dark beer (I tend to use Leffe Brune - not the best by any means, but ok in a stew) Half a teaspoon of nutmeg 2 dessert spoons Syrop de Liege or any heavy fruit preserve (I've tried Morello cherry preserve, and that was really good) 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar 2 dessert spoons Demerara sugar 2 slices of bread, liberally coated in Dijon mustard 1 bouquet garni Method
Fry onions in hot olive oil until they start to caramelise Add the garlic, reduce the temperature a little, continue frying for a couple of minutes until the pungent aroma hits Add the meat, fry until browned and sealed. Add the mushrooms and carrots Add the beef stock and beer Add the vinegar Reduce to a simmer Stir in the nutmeg Add the sugar and syrop de liege Add the bouquet garni Spread 2 slices of bread with the mustard and float on top of the stew, mustard side down Cover and simmer for 3 or 4 hours, until the meat starts to disintegrate, stirring occasionally. By now, the bread will have completely dissolved, and this causes the stew to thicken When the stew is very thick, serve with French Fries or chunky chips.

You're not the only one who needs some encouragement, you are top btw, which also makes you the most pessimistic predictor on here, so well done anyway.. ?

Sounds like one of the characters from Dune, but certainly ticks all the boxes, can't see
him being pushed off the ball - a good shout for me?

Not aimed directly at yourself but in general. What would people need the club to do to be 'whelmed'?
Spend 10mill on a striker from the domestic leagues? Can't think of a single one I'd be overly excited about us signing from our league or otherwise.
Loan a young striker from a prem team? Not too many about, we've been linked to some, again unproven and we don't gain anything from it after the season ends.
Spend big on a European striker? Massive risk to do, could backfire like Forest.
A 6ft3' striker at the prime of his career who is scoring a good amount of goals and available under 2 mill? I'm not sure more the club could do, this seems exactly the kind of signing we should make.

This is my boy Walter. I never wanted a pet let alone a dog, but he is awesome and I couldn't imagine not having him now! I'm having a pretty average time at home at the moment, but coming home to Walt, long walks, and his unconditional love never fail to put a smile on my face.

We’ve had Ziggy for just over a year now. He’s the perfect family dog - loves everybody, affectionate and loads of fun. He comes to work with me 4 days a week and is my best mate and shadow.
This is what he does when he needs a fuss and I’m ignoring him:
And this is him when he’s won and I’ve given in!
