The meeting is still ongoing and the whip round hasn’t gone well. Morris is currently looking at £15.08, a Pagri, and 7 empty bottles of Peroni. To be fair David did leave one full bottle too, but RamsTrust claimed it as theirs.

The “super computer” has us finishing a lofty 17th. Never doubt the super computer.

A good manager at this level can be the difference between lower midtable and a run at the playoffs. Neil Warnock, Mick McCarthy and Chris Hughton have proven that on several occasions.

I would happily lay money on us getting relegated at those odds. I think we will stick around and have a good chance at staying up, so if I can play the bookie in offering essentially 1.7 then I would. I'd go up to 1.8. Smarkets aren't offering a market on it. Betfair Exchange has it at 1.9 - not too bad.
We will sign some experienced players, Bielik will return at some point. I think we have enough to stick around and who knows what could happen in January. I may wait to see what Mel comes out with tomorrow but could be a worthwhile bet.

Now we've changed our style not to match up with the opposition and play our own way we'll be fine. It won't be great but not relegation.
Why we decided to do that last season is still beyond me.

Finally the bookies are offering odds on Derby for the drop, and we are odds-on for relegation.

I'm happy that I'm not tempted to bet against us. Anything above 3 to 1 and I'd have considered it.
Let's hope we can surprise a lot of people. We have two internationals to come back in over the season in Knight and Bielik. Will Ebosele be our Traore? Will Sibley dance his way through opposition defences?
Everyone starts level (unless we also get a points deduction!!!). It will be a tough ask but I really want the squad to be able to step up and all be heroes and give us all something to smile about.
    Come on you Rams!

    Why is it impossible?
Its not impossible for Mel to sit down with RamsTV, Radio Derby and be asked questions that supporters what answers for.
Or for the meeting with supporters tonight to be filmed and put on RamsTV for us all to watch.
We've done it many times. I remember the one at the cinema, there's been one at Pride Park.
There's literally no excuse for us not to be able, to at the very least, watch the forum on RamsTV.
To pick and choose who goes and not at least give access to all the fans to watch either live or after the meeting is over is disgusting.
Plus it does seem that groups like the Punjabi Rams have been asked to sign NDAs.

Worldwide would think there’d be many 55+ year old fans who worshipped one or more players from the Clough era. But most will by now be no more than half fans

I'm less convinced about Festy from what I've seen than others. His raw power and pace are definitely assets but for me he needs better technique and positioning from what I've seen if he's going to be making a real impact this season. I do like Hutchinson from what I've seen and Bird apart from the Man Utd game and second half vs Salford looks to be better than last season. But all of this is based off pre-season so who knows. There's been debates about Cashin but again that is all off a single pre-season against a non-league team... so in my mind it's anyone's guess whether he'll be good enough or not.

The difference between this season and any other recently is that I'll  celebrate each and every point as it takes us one step closer to 21st and above. For that reason alone I'm quite excited.

Go on then, I'll get the season started.
With just over a week to go, several departures from a thin squad and 0 arrivals, it obviously hasn't be the most ideal pre seasons.
Thankfully the players that we're looking to sign have been involved in pre season and bonding with the squad, we're not just looking at dragging players in with a week to train before playing.
"Unprecedented times" will hopefully no longer be heard and we are able to get through the season without seeing any new restrictions coming in, the club desperately needs the uninterrupted match day revenue back running through the tills.
Team for Huddersfield? Difficult to say until we see what trialists are given contracts and the EFL approve, seems wild that the game as I say is just over a week away and we couldn't even guess a starting 11, but he we are.
Buckle up boys and girls, this season will be a battle. ?

Just remember to stay safe everyone today.
Maintain social distancing from any natives of Nottingham and sanitize religiously whilst you are there, wash properly on your return and consider inceneration of all articles of clothing that may have become contaminated.
More of a Nottingham thing than a covid thing at this point, but good disease control measures are still applicable.
