Rooney had it tougher by a long way, than Nigel inherited. Yet Nigel credited with “saving” Derby from relegation when they were never in danger! 
 
There are some curious folk suggesting bringing Nigel Clough back to replace Rooney! 
 
Rooney HAS actually saved Derby from relegation. 
 
He deserves more respect than he’s getting and certainly should be judged at least equally, if not better than Nigel Clough. 

Rooney one more seasons??  Hahahaha. Don’t forget he has been here for 18 months. There is no evidence he will turn this round... one point from the last seven is horrific. 

Sorry, I need to add, better than Nigel Clough. The man who brought though Will Hughes and Jeff Hendrick?? Show some respect!! Wayne has, in my opinion done the complete opposite of Clough and seriously damaged the young talent we have. He had, Sibley, Bird, Knight, all touted for bigger things and they have regressed massively under Rooney.

Not proud of anything. What fan can be?? We have gone from top6 to bottom 4. This is DCFC and this season is well below our baseline. We should be flirting with the premier league. Anything else is a complete failure. 

Cardiff saved us from relegation and the boys having passion today because I saw no management tactics on display there.We just ran around a lot and for once it worked out into a draw.
We have not won in fifteen games mate.

That we won't get relegated, but we should change the management team (and recruitment team if we can help it) in the summer regardless?

It reads like Rooney swept in on a white stallion and has rescued us. Completely ignoring that he and his coaching staff were all part of a team being bottom! Rooney was supposedly our star, but he was overweight, out of shape and barely interested in fighting at the start of this season. He has to take some responsibility for our league position that he inherited. This mess is on the players too and Rooney was part of that. If anything he helped make his own job harder.

All of this hand wringing is starting to grate now. It's patently clear what we must do between now and the end of the season, Rooney never struck me as being a dullard so he must be acutely aware too. 
If he can't motivate and organise his side to do this then we do deserve to go down, simple as.
If he does manage to keep us up then he shouldn't take any plaudits whatsoever for dragging a group of players who should be operating at a far higher level into a relegation battle.
