With all the strife and aggro about DCFC's situation and the angst over our 'fate', with points deductions and relegation possibly on the horizon, it's as well to check back to reality, with a fine young footballer, Bournemouth's David Brooks, now diagnosed with lymph cancer.

Here's wishing Brooks a successful outcome and with best wishes from Rams fans.

A terrible time for you Maydrakin. I'm so sorry to hear the story about the season ticket, but more sorry to hear you dad died. Huge sympathies.
It's a terrible time for the club too. We know it was abandoned for months, the ticket office closed, no one there, and is now in administration fighting for its survival. It's obviously a case of crossed wires, people overworked or not being there to do the job. And now more have been made redundant. Plus it's probably illegal for the administrators to reimburse you because their obligation is to other creditors first.
It's all crap right now, and a thousand times more so for you. I'm sorry it's been handled badly by the club earlier on, and now it's out of the hands of anyone who's left or come in. I understand you getting the frustrations off your chest, but I don't think there can be any progress at this stage until after the club has been sold. Hoping it is. And even then, who knows? Let's hope any new owners want Derby to be a strong community-embedded club again.

Like everyone I'm pleased with our defender's resolute performances this season and the low number of goals they've conceded
It's their inability to play out from the back when being closed down by the opposition forwards that concerns me.
To often we lose possession just outside the box causing us to panic and having to scramble the ball away. This is not a resent concern, it's been a problem for a few seasons and as cost us a number of goals.
This problem is not just down to the defensive players, our midfield players have to accept some of the blame for this failing.
Why hasn't the coaching staff done anything to rectify this issue? Because once this problem can be rectified, our forwards will begin to see more of the ball in the final third of the pitch and hopefully score more  much needed goals. And I won't be a nervous wreak every time we have a goal kick.

You do not seem as positive these days Carl. We must enjoy the wonderful team spirit that Wayne has engendered. Long time since our team worked so hard. Focus on the games and just ignore the rest of it which we cannot alter. We have the best fans in this league. The whole of the country has noticed our plight and our response to it. COYR

2015 we were decimated by injuries to Martin , Thorne , Eustace and virtually the whole midfield at the crunch end of the season. If they had stayed fit in my opinion we would have gone up.

At the end of the day  does it matter? We are a very small squad, deep in the poo and he is willing to turn out probably on less than he could command. Maybe not the best but who else do we have,? Beggars can't be choosers

"simply doing his job" I doubt he signed up for or expected to be doing the job that he has now
" He can’t really lose in this situation" Derby are still odds on to be relegated, that is losing, and some would put the blame on him
" I prefer to see a response on the pitch" if you haven't seen a response on the pitch this season compared to the final months last season you're not looking
"hand some bibs out, put a few cones down, answer a few questions" and part with some of his own money to keep the show on the road

I grew up in a house where you could hear the crowd when Derby scored a goal. From 1960 on I was going to games and in the 70s watched the miracles worked by Clough and Taylor. It became ingrained despite the roller-coaster experience it delivered. Pride Park was not like the Baseball Ground, but I was getting older and liked it. Despite not winning any league there have been great days and great players, not least Wembley 2007.
Not sure what I will do if the worst happens. I (finally) quit smoking after 30 years but no longer being able to watch Derby County after 60 years will be far more of a problem.

Few have defended Mel as solidly as I, and I don't blame him for wanting out. Pulling the plug is inexcusable though, when he presided over the accumulation of the debt. The honourable thing would be to settle the debt, and leave the club with dignity, a thing he is probably capable of doing without going hungry.  To inflict this on the thousands of us who feel it so deeply is shameful, despicable and from a Derby fan, sickening.
I don't know how he sleeps. I'd sooner die than be responsible for this. I know that sounds a touch dramatic, but I stand by it. Death over this much dishonour.
