GB SPORTS reacted to chipperram in The Administration Thread
The Gibson issue may go away very quickly if the PB is announced, he is using his claim to slow the process down. He needs his bluff calling, get the PB in then tell him to take it to arbitration/Court if he wants. He knows he won't win any case should he do it, otherwise he would have pushed it further by now. A I have said it isn't about money, it is about getting us relegated. He isn't necessarily greedy, just spiteful.

Have we all calmed down yet?
I reckon you'll only need to hang on for another 6 hours before panicking again and arguing over whether or not the administrators have made the right choice.

GB SPORTS reacted to Day in Forest Tickets
The memberships are pretty good value now, better than previous seasons.
£30 for away priority, with that you also get a scarf, free RamsTV subscription which is usually a fiver a month.
They are also annual, so if you purchased today and activated it would expire on January 11th 2023.
Say you go to 10 games, it's just £3 a game, and next season if we do go down, the grounds will be smaller with smaller allocations.
It's not just for Forest either, some other games it will come in handy in the Championship, grounds like Luton as well.
Birthday that day so think I'll be buying to bag a ticket easily. Yes it will be my first away game, won't apologise if someone else loses out, the memberships are there for all to buy.
Does help the club as well with the financial situation we're in.

Classic case of good change management communication. Better to tell there's no news than keep silent.
Funny how quite a few members here managed to get themselves to a meltdown-mode after reading AND believing those ducking daily rags.

There is 1 major update and that is the 2 stories in the paper are bo**ocks and the claims are not holding up naming a preferred bidder. That line was worth the update alone for me as it puts people minds at ease

GB SPORTS reacted to Ram-Alf in Coventry City (A) FA Cup 3rd Round Matchday Thread
Just an observation concerning "our" fans not arsed being knocked out of the FA Cup, It would seem that a lot of fans today can't be arsed about their club being knocked out of the FA Cup...7304 at Bristol City, Sky Sports taking the mick out of WBA as Jeff can't see their fans.
Has the Cup lost it's sparkle? It lost it 10+ years ago imo when United got a bye in the 3rd round when playing the World Championship Final, No replays, Penalties after extra time because of fears that a fixture backlog due to Covid, It's becoming an inconvenience for many.

On Ashley... I think we could do a lot worse.
He's British, a Billionaire, has experience as a football club owner, has a good track record buying companies out of administration.
It means no mysterious behind the scenes money men, no owners from countries with dubious human rights records, no debt or leveraged buyout.
It's a yes from me.

GB SPORTS reacted to RoyMac5 in The Administration Thread
I've no interest in doing that mate as long as you don't harp on about Ashley's business ethics. That was the point you were anti-Ashley because of that but conveniently forgot to put forward the 'Mother Theresa'-like figure who would save the club!
Of course Ashley is no saint but he also isn't as bad as painted in the media and by Newcastle fans.
When you get off your bandwagon I'll join you on reasonable ground!

If you buy a season ticket you still get priority over someone that’s been to every away game but has not got a season ticket but your not obliged to go to any of the home games.

GB SPORTS reacted to belperram9 in The Administration Thread
Newcastle fans are delusional when evaluating Ashley’s tenure. I am genuinely perplexed when they say he never ‘invested’ in the club:
He purchase the following:
Joel Linton £40m
Joe Wilock £25m
Almiron £21m
Calum Wilson £20m
Saint Maximin £17m
Florian Thauvin £15m
Jamal Wilson £15m
Wijnaldum £15m
Mitrovic £15m
The way he ran Newcastle enabled them to attract their new owners as they are in a position of stability and attract wealthy investors thanks to the way he ran their club. Same will probably happen at West Ham.
Ashley in for me, no brainer.
On a side note, glad Kirchner is out the picture. Ridiculous how he declared his intentions early and made it public when he did. Clearly couldn’t match rival bidders and tried to convince us that it was the administrators not him. He couldn’t admit he wasn’t the preferred choice. From the start I knew it wouldn’t work out given how he behaved and the way Derby fans were swooning over him was embarrassing!
Oh well, nearing a conclusion.

If you want pure speculation, Appleby offer comes with conditions due to the Boro and Wycombe claims. So Ashley has come in , balls on table with a no strings attached offer and will see Gibson and Couhig in Court. Which has upset Gibson no end. ITG (In the Guess).

I disagree in as much as, the best outcome for creditors is through business rescue, in our case business rescue means sale of the business to a purchaser who meets the requirements and will give the creditors the best outcome.

He also says the administrators are focusing on internal communication with staff at the club. And quite right too. Those who rely on DCFC to pay the mortgage and put food on table deserve to know what’s happening before any of us.

They are not providing a service to the fans and are not answerable to us in anyway.
The service they are providing is for the creditors.
I think this is what many are failing to see.

GB SPORTS reacted to Bob The Badger in Away tickets Middlesbrough
Buy a ticket via your CC then after the game everybody contacts their bank to request a chargeback saying they didn't get what they paid for.
Everybody will lose eventually but it'll wrap Boro up in paperwork for months.
Yours sincerely,
