Realistically, we should be competing with the loser out of Barnsley and Sheff Weds for the title next season.
Bolton and Peterborough aren't anything special. I can't see them improving by 15 points.
Portsmouth, Wycombe and Charlton were too far off the pace last season and they would have to invest a lot to make up the ground.
Wigan will be in freefall. Who knows how many more points they'll be deducted, and they'll struggle to sign anyone with how things are there.
Reading have their P&S issues. Still no manager. Some of their fans are actually tipping them for relegation. I'd be surprised if they can't pull together a squad good enough for the playoffs.
Blackpool are stable now, so could pose the next biggest threat, but still have a much smaller budget than us.

Blackpool, Around 5 years ago for 5 days, I never knew then that it's alleged to be the drug capital of the north, Where benefit claimants top up the drugs culture, There's a paved area not far from the North Pier where jokes and sayings are painted on the paving's, There was some sort of an emergency there so I mooched over to have a nosey, They were dragging a body out of the water, I heard later it was drug related as this is a common occurrence, Every bus stop and litter bin there was someone sitting against them begging, In the back street just off the main road police were arresting a shoplifter, Another day a young lad was screaming for him mum, Apparently she'd got in a taxi and left him there on his own, Mums and Dads with 8-10 kids effing and blinding at each other, Stag/Hen do's galore, Fights involving both men and women, Gutters used as toilets by both sexes, Crap gifts sold as genuinely made in Taiwan, Chavs and Chevets, Guest house after guest house boarded up or for sale.
I've booked again for 5 days in August 😁

The whole matter is extremely distasteful and the Cardiff directors should have a grain of moral decency to know when to draw a line under the matter.

Because they want to. Everybody is entitled to annual leave when they shouldn’t have to think about work for two or three weeks (although, as professional athletes, I’m sure they don’t quite less themselves go to the extent the rest of us might). 
 
How would you feel if your employer dictated where you can and cannot go on holiday (the fact that you only holiday in the UK is irrelevant. That’s your choice) or, whilst on annual leave, you were told you had to continue with work related activities?
As I said earlier, the players need a bit of down time in order to recover physically and mentally from the rigours of the season that has just ended and to recharge ready for the next season. PW comes across as a bit of task master when it comes to preseason training and I think lack of fitness for the first game should be very low on our list of concerns. Let them relax, get some sun on their backs, come back ready to face the preseason training regime and be ready to go come the first game of the season.

Cole Stockton is the type of player I hope we avoid, honestly. I fear he just plainly lacks technical ability and his market will be high, relatively, so you run the risk of overpaying for a player for a player because of a reasonable goal record at this level despite not having the ability to step it up. 
Don't get me wrong, we probably need two strikers coming in and perhaps he does a job for us but I'd like to see us pick someone up with a bit of technical ability who could improve. Stockton strikes me as a player who knows what he's about and knows what he can do. Let a Portsmouth take the chance on him, let's aim for a better standard of footballer. 

We have just been 'analysed' by sky. Honestly Jon Snow from game of thrones knows more than these so called experts.
Apparently, the pressure is on Derby, former Championship team, bigger team than Peterborough, expectation was promotion and dominating this league. Warne in danger if we dont go up. 10 managers in 7 years blah blah blah.
No realisation about where actually were last summer. Funny they talked up Plymouth referring to budgets compared to the Wendies and Ipswich, but not to us.
To me whatever happens we have done so well to get this far, and those numpties at Sky have no idea.

If this is it today, the end of our season, the players should leave the pitch with their heads held high.
A bunch of out of contract players, came together as a team over one summer and took us to the last day with a chance to be in the play offs.
Forget any frustrations or feeling of disappointment, we cannot ignore the context around this season.
It’s been incredible.
At 4pm, if we are in the play offs, what an unbelievable achievement that would be.. 
Whilst the football may not have been as sexy as it was under McClaren in 13/14, the greatest season in recent times, in my own personal hall of fame seasons this one would rank higher thanks to David Clowes, Liam Rosenior and Paul Warne.
