I genuinely respect your opinion, and as you suggest, an individuals perspective will be influenced by their thoughts on the way things operated during Mel Morris's tenure. However, the vast majority would agree, that the financial management was totally shambolic.
To the many people who've taken an interest, the whole thing with Pearce will seem odd. It's hard to imagine that someone so closely involved in what was without doubt, Derby County's darkest days, is actually still at the club. In most organisational changes (non football included) of the scale of what has taken place at DCFC, a top level restructuring would (at some point) see a wholesale clear out of the previous administration. Pearce still being at the club is strange enough, but to suggest that he can barely utter anything of relevance due to NDA's seems ridiculous and only fuels suspicions.
It seems only a close knit group of people are aware of the motivation behind keeping SP at the club. It should be remembered that the loyal supporters played a massive part in saving the club, ensuring that it was worthwhile Mr Clowes getting involved. If the fans had turned their back, there would be no DCFC. Makes one wonder, if Mr Pearce has ever considered that it would be better to walk away, rather than apparently being muted by NDA's, and tainted by associated with the previous administrations murky finances. That's probably the honourable thing to do, but perhaps not in the world we currently live in.

All done by looking cumbersome generally - in terms of scoring goals NML seems to be the one who makes things happen and without him we would be halfway in my opinion

It’s odd, we’re second top scorers in the league, joint fewest goals conceded, most away wins, in the automatic places yet it doesn’t feel like we’ve played well all season nor is there much optimism

One of the questions was about his role in the previous regime. He could have spoken about that. Not everything is covered through an NDA. It’s not financial records or meetings he was asked to disclose. He just hid behind the NDA as he does for most things.

Yeah, well part of our fanbase sounds like they have had a frontal lobotomy half the time.
Same at every club, always a few that are a total waste of atoms.

My big frustration in these tight last 10 minutes is a chronic inability to actually control the ball rather than it being like a hot potato.  It's fairly simple - if you control it at that stage, they'll probably be fouling to get it back.

Well I don't know if the recent revelation that the club is currently losing +£6m a year has been confirmed, but if so it could be difficult to break even in the championship, with inevitable increased wages. Most championship clubs are (or were) carrying significant debt and the combined debt of EFL Ch'ship clubs was in excess of £1.5 billion (2022). Derby County's owner has referred to sustainability, so hopefully the club intends to operate within a financial framework that ensures such.

Achieving both success and entertaining football was always going to be a stretch once Warney was appointed. Nevertheless, considering what the club has gone through recently, many (including myself) would be willing to sacrifice a season (or two) of attractive football, just to get out of a dire L1 and have a crack at surviving in the Ch'ship.
As others have pointed out, despite being 2nd in the league, we are not very convincing at the moment. Perhaps this group of players (and probably the management) just aren't quite good enough / ruthless enough to win the crucial games that could secure an automatic promotion place. Chucking the game against Shrewsbury being typical, there are many other examples. In all likelihood we will be relying on teams around us messing up, if we're to avoid the dreaded play offs.

100% agree Collins gives maximum effort every match if we lose him the season is over. Why we didn't sign someone in the transfer window could cost us massive.

Finances at a guess, Better players, Keeping hold of the 22k plus ST holders, If promoted we'll get circa £8 million in TV revenue, We'll need at least 12+ more players at a higher wage cost, Transfer fees + agents fees, The ticket prices will rise as the product in theory will rise, I believe we are losing a considerable amount of loot in League 1, I think Clowes will need some form of financial backing...ie some rich "sugar daddy" to come on board😬
Coming out of embargo and the game starts again with a clean slate, May be Stephen Pierce is already scouting for the next multi millionaire who has millions to flush down the toilet 😉

Irrespective of whether  Warney was being economical with the truth, the situation obviously wasn't managed particularly well. The outcome being 2 valuable points lost.

Sounds like Barker does most of the actual coaching. Presumably whilst Warne is doing a mind map before adjusting the layout of his 'Why Wall - Version 2.0'.

Nigel has the advantage that Gary Crosby can put up some lovely shelves for him.

What's Ritchie Barker's additional talent that makes Warne keep hiring him? We need to be told......

Poor decision to take Nyambe off, at that particular period of the game.  I went bonkers at the time and sadly was right. It is hugely irritating , Warne made a point in his post match interview to say the substitution wasn’t to blame, it was.

The greatest difficulty is watching us muller Shrewsbury, get the lead, then stop and shut up shop. Ot was a stupid decision by Mr Warne. The dropped points are on him.

Love that you’ve picked up on this. I suspect it contains:
    1. A signed photo of Delia Smith.
    2. A copy of Charles Hughes’ “Hoofball for Dummies”.
    3. A discarded list of current football league “Available Strikers” with addresses & phone numbers sent to Warney last September that Warney keeps meaning to get around to looking at but has put off up to now, in favour of watching cartoons on YouTube.
