Promotion would be great, but if it doesn't happen, we can take some solace from snippets of positivity like the article in The i.
    Thanks for posting 👍🏽

£55 million against a net worth of @£350 million. And he's still had some absolutes arses on here screeching about his motivation and commitment this season.
    Honestly, who'd be an owner?
Also, bit of a tangent but why do we as a group insist on giving the cretinous teacher from Nottingham, whose name I won't mention the attention he so dearly craves? His name needs swear-filtering on here.

Not sure if this is the right place but a nice article in The i.  And some nice quotes from Igor and Paulo 🐏.

Whilst that doesn't really address my question, that's fair enough. I think in this league though, any team can lose to average teams. Even Ipswich lost the plot at one point (winless in 6 or 7 IIRC). I'd also reiterate what I said after we beat them, that being that they are a much better side than their league position at the time suggested. Their form since then has them sat 5th in the table (games since we beat them), whereas they sat 23rd with only Carlisle below them not so long ago. I'd not be surprised to see them trouble Barnsley, among others, given their performances against Portsmouth and Bolton.
I do agree though that we will need to improve our own last 6 game form. Perhaps we can start by blowing away Bristol this weekend?

Not so sure. Big for the two clubs, yes. But how many neutrals could be bothered to watch such a game. More like Sky fulfilling a quota perhaps?

As proven in the Charlton game, we are capable of losing to very average teams. I hope we win enough of our remaining games to achieve promotion, but to do so, our performances will need to go up a level for the run in.

Considering some of our recent performances, I would say highly improbable.

1 win in 4 play off finals at Wembley 🤔 Think I would take a top 2 finish 😊

We need automatic, nothing less. As much as I Love London, our latest trips to Wembley have not been a bundle of fun, the  play offs are too much of a lottery for my liking

What's worse, our fingers are wide apart, making no attempt at stopping the opportunity from disappearing. The only reason for renewing my season ticket is that if we do get promoted the ticket will be at a remarkably good price for championship football. We would see some from whichever team was thrashing us at the time!

Liam probably would only have got us somewhere between mid table and top six in his first season. However, that would have been OK, as I personally feel we would have reaped the rewards of an intelligent team rebuild, as well as developing a system and style of play capable of achieving promotion, with a chance of competing in the ch'ship.

Perhaps, but Barnsley's form seems to be improving, while ours is dipping. We can no longer rely on other teams fluffing their lines. Crunch time coming....

👍 Well he didn't see that last season when he hadn't the opportunity to get them fit like he has this.
Might finish fourth. Maybe higher, that depends on how badly other teams choke.

My predictor now has us finishing third behind Barnsley and Portsmouth. Based on tonight's performance (not just the result) I reckon even that is looking a tad optimistic. 😒

I refer again to a Rotherham fan who came on this forum asking how things were, and if we were experiencing lots of injuries, especially during training. How did he know? As you say, if our fitness has improved, we shouldn't be getting loads and loads of injuries, but there seem more now than there were last season. I know it doesn't help when you actually recruit injured players, but surely there is something wrong with what the coaching staff are actually doing with the players.

Rosenior's record wasn't very poor - he had us in the same place Warne finished only without the benefit of  McGoldrick 90% of the time.    He's showing at Hull that we should have kept him.

People have always used the away record as a stick to beat Liam with.  We only played four away games in the league and had barely had a pre-season.  It's too small a sample size to judge.
We absolutely battered Charlton and lost 1 nil.  Battered Fleetwood and couldn't put the ball in the net.  Admittedly we were poor against Shrewsbury and Lincoln but by God we've had worse performances under Warne and far more often as well.
