Considering we are likely to be back in the Premier League in 3 seasons, then yes 4yrs is too long. Warneball definitely won't cut it in the top flight ?

I agree, if we are setting up to suit Collins then we need to have a similar type of player in the squad to cover injuries / suspensions. Obviously finances make it difficult. We need a bit of Jim Smith style 'wheeler dealing' in January ?

Yes fair points. The owner must have been aware that having enabled Liam to put a squad together to suit the pure football style, then bringing in Warne, the football would be tactically 'poles apart'. Only Mr Clowes and Warne know what was said in the negotiations, but surely the existing squad was discussed. Did Warne convince DC that he could do something with the existing squad, or was it agreed that another complete rebuild was the way forward? 

Best hope they win this game then (and every other game....) 

I think Warne is under pressure partly because his appointment was made at a time when, under the circumstances, we were doing quite well.

And perhaps the players needed to do that in league one were too costly and hard to get for this level , for a team to be good at that style it has to be full of players who are technically gifted or else it just breaks down ,
you can get eleven players that you can improve by getting them to run through brick walls , much much harder to raise they’re skill levels

Leighton James was like that, but when he had his one good game, it was superb.

Yes, he's on a 4 yr contract which could only realistically be curtailed if Warne decided to leave of his own accord. Something of a rare occurrence in pro football. 
It's early days and we have to hope that Warne knows what he is doing and is also lucky for DCFC. Obviously he had some success with Rotherham, but he wouldn't be the first (or last) manager who has 'one club' success.
Warne talks a good job, hopefully it works with the players and they can get motivated to achieve something in a fairly tough L1.

Fair point, but I imagine Mr Clowes made a judgement call and decided that Liam's football ideology just wasn't going to be successful in L1.

Pearson was sacked because of Keogh and his merry men.  When Warne goes it will be because he has severe limitations and won't budge from Rotherham rollerball.

I'm pretty sure Smith didn't touch the ball in the build-up to the goal. Cashin stretched for it, but I think it was 'toed' towards Davies by the scorer, Burns. It was Curtis' back-pass that left Wildsmith in no-man's land.

We weren’t even good at the fighting for every ball or being productive at set pieces.
the formation really doesn’t suit our squad at all either, neutralised our wingers by moving them back thirty yards. Slow centre backs in a back three struggling as well.
