I see Brentford have gone for a two year cycle on their new Umbro kit.

Conscious we can't do that this year given sponsorship and kit manufacturer deals but would be nice to go back to doing this when the current deal ends...I think the last time was the navy/lemon Joma away kit, although even that changed material halfway through?

I am not a huge Collins fan so far but most of our crossing into the box (where he is and should be) was beyond woeful last season so not fair to write him off and not criticize that. Didzy is a totally different sort of player who relied less on that due to his creativity. I also think last season we sometimes didnt always play the simplest or best ball as everyone was so keen to find Didzy, understandably and he/we reaped the rewards. Who knows we may be more balanced as a team even if less fun to watch. we will miss the joy to watch that was Didzy. We need better balls into the box full stop

Yep, some nice kits on that site - this one is based on the Chapecoense 2023 Umbro Away Kit - I thought magenta for the away kit!

I prefer this description, Darryl Powell who was a key player during the last 'successful' Derby team who got promoted to the premier League and to the brink of European qualification. The player who did the donkey work for the likes of Eranio, Biano and Wanchope.
Great teams need balance, part of that balance requires someone to get the ball for the creative players and someone to stop the opposition and give 100% all the time.

What a comeback, oddly enough I thought they would do it.
I hope they go up now, especially for Moore. Not bothered what they sang at a match, we would do the exact same thing.
    Good luck Owls!

Be great if we could continue with NSPCC on the shirt or similar charity.  Would hate to go back to some betting company.

Have you seen this man? Wanted by police, last seen in Sheffield area.
I’ve finally managed to force myself to watch the highlights from the game.
Regarding the penalty, obviously a very poor back pass from Curtis and I suspect Wildsmith was perhaps a little gentle as he didn’t want to risk giving away a penalty himself.
Sadly (very) in modern football it seems you only need to make the slightest contact for a penalty to be awarded and Curtis shouldn’t have given the ref a decision to make but, that dive was just embarrassing.

Haven’t read through this thread since 11.30 yesterday. My two penneth, for what worth, is that we played well, deserved something - at least the point - but were let down yesterday by our 3 players of the season:
    1) Mendez Laing looked shot. I think I could have done more with the ball than he did, and I am 61.
    2) McGoldrick’s miss just before half time was shocking. He tried to be cute, with a worldy chip, but he just needed to put his boot through it a yard either side of Dawson.
    3) Wildsmith lacked bravery or nous with that Davies pass back.  He should have been putting his boot through that ball. It was a poor pass back yes, but it was at worst a 50 50 for Wildsmith and he could have done so much better.
Not a Warne fan, but didn’t think he did too much wrong yesterday. Davies was unlucky to be penalised for his pull back, and the dismissal was a terrible way to end his playing career at the club.
I still think this season has been a failure. We should have got in the top 6, and looking at Wednesday yesterday, if we had we could have had a stab at Wembley.
Ahh well. It’s only football, not life and death. Up the Rams!

It wasn't bird going out the team that effected us it was warne changing everything around and messing around with the formation once bird got injuried! Warne cost us at this point of the season to try and play his formation and it back fired, simple as that think it's just time to move on and hope warne does it next season now

Not sure what people are debating.... has Warne done as well as he could have? I think the pretty obvious answer is no. We could have reasonably made the playoffs, and there are multiple results to which we can point and go, 'oh boy, that was ugly'. Has he been an unmitigated disaster? No, he kept us in the playoff hunt with a squad thrown together who weren't built for him. Personally, at this point, I'd give him a C. On that basis, and the fact we are still financially hamstrung, Warne is not going anywhere.

We might as well all get behind the warne revolution and see what unfolds. I say that as someone who was and still is skeptical about the bloke long term. I do think we'll go up next year but i can't see him leading us to the promised land. Today wasn't that bad. We could have been more aggressive in going for the first goal and even second half potentially took a few more risks earlier but it is what it is. We've got another season in the third division where we can be sharks in what is a small pond.

With the strength of the rest of the league and the players we have, we should have comfortably been top 6.

At the start of the season I’d of taken 10th place and been happy, so I’m less annoyed that we’ve missed out, just frustrating that we were 7/8 points clear of 7th at one point, that makes it more hurtful

Love this. I’ve been through thick & thin with this club for the last 42 years and was gutted at the final whistle yesterday. Then 5 minutes later me and my mate were discussing our away trip schedule for next season! COYR.

Sorry, I really hate the ''promotion actually would be bad'' angle, it's never been a good line.
The Championship is not **that** much more difficult than league one, teams are of a similar level and we would financially be significantly better off with promotion and we would obviously strengthen our squad. There is no guarantee we go up next year, and we are losing out on £10m a year each year we are here and not in the Championship. How could that have harmed our long term future?

What I don't get is how bad they are at all levels in the English game. We have the most money in world football, yet the lowest standard of officiating. When there are international tournaments it's striking how vastly superior all the overseas officials than the English ones at the tournament.
They can't even use VAR properly. Here we have Stuart Atwell at Stockley Park not thinking this was a penalty, as Lindelhof moves his arm out to pretty much catch the ball and juggle with it. Though it's shocking neither ref nor linesman gave it anyway.
