Southgate out for duck sake. We have talented players, our best crop in a while but this guy is going to waste them. Get a coach with some attacking flair at the helm. 7 defenders vs Denmark. 

This is why I struggle to get behind the common argument that 'the players aren't good enough'.
How many of our players have gone to fellow Championship clubs and walked into the first XI? How many of our players have gone to fellow Championship clubs and become key players?
Martin is just the latest. It was obvious that he would go to a top half club and elevate them. It's only taken six games and Diedhiou is the forgotten man. It is no surprise to anyone.
I have to admit to feeling a little frustrated at our plight. We can't bring in a striker for love nor money, meanwhile Bristol City can start with Martin and Wells, and have two or three good options off the bench.

Championship player of the month
Personally I liked him think he got some grief here because of the price which is hardly his fault.
Heart on his sleeve kinda guy.
Particularly left nothing on the pitch in that Dirty Leeds game.

When he first started, it seemed to be about pathways from the youth through to the senior squad.
Then he moved into keeping a settled squad to play a settled style. 
Now we seem to have a mish mash of gareths personal faves, plus some people currently in form regardless of style plus some tabloid picks.
Complete buggers muddle......

I don’t get the snobbery around Hughton saying he is boring and his teams are boring to watch.
In the Championship, he strikes an excellent balance and understands what works. He is a winner at this level. Is winning boring?
His teams are strong defensively - typically conceding an average of less than 1 goal a game - and they score goals too. His teams have routinely scored 70 goals or more across the season in this division.
Even his Birmingham side spearheaded by Marlon King scored 78 goals that year!
For comparison, we have only done that three times in the recent past - twice with McClaren, and once with Rowett!
His teams are usually full of pace, power, physicality, athleticism and experience - everything we have been crying out for all summer.
I don’t get it.

Absolutely mental to sack a manager 4 games into the season after letting him sign basically 2 new starting 11’s. Classic Forest scattergun approach. That said, Hughton has always been a very astute manager, I’d expect him to be an excellent appointment at this level.
