Millenniumram got a reaction from 48 hours in Joe Haigh signed on a half season loan
Makes a lot more sense that he’s for the Under-21s. He’s an attacking midfielder and we don’t really need any more of them in the first team - we’ve already got Knight and Sibley (provided they both stay, of course).
For those saying that makes the signing pointless - note that he’s out of contract at the end of the season. This loan will effectively act as a “trial” to assess his potential, before signing him permanently on a free next summer.
He won’t take up any of our 5 “first team squad” loans (believe we’re allowed another 3 on top who aren’t involved on match days), so I don’t see the issue. Our academy has been decimated during administration (Mels legacy), leaving our U21 squad extremely thin (only 16 players currently), and totally devoid of quality, as evidenced by results so far this year. We’ve gone from having one of the best academies in the country to one of the worst. We’re crying out for reinforcements, and good quality ones at that, as we look to rebuild. We have to look externally - as we already have with Rooney and Nunn - so this seems a good move to me,

I made it. I got tickets!!!
an email popped up today saying last few tickets released.
but if a pain in the arse now though, as I’ve made plans for the weekend. I’m going to have to drive from wales on Saturday morning, and cut my weekend there short. But totally worth it.
I’ve only ever been to Wembley by bus before though. So does anyone more experienced than I know The best options for parking?
I’ve just checked official Wembley parking, and it’s £60! Surely there’s a better option if I park further out and get a tube in or something?
PS I’ve changed my angry face to a cheers now. I don’t feel quite as bitter any more.

Millenniumram got a reaction from EnigmaRam in Who s enjoying league 1?
Two ways of looking at it really.
No, I’m not enjoying us being in League One. It’s grim to be two divisions below all our rivals, unable to spend a penny whilst they’re splashing tens of millions on players. It’s a long way back and it’s depressing to think about really. A club like Derby County, with our fan base and history, shouldn’t be in this league with all these tinpoint salty clubs. But we are, thanks to our t*** of a former owner.
However, what I enjoy more than anything is watching Derby win football matches - whatever the competition or level. So in that regard, it’s nice to actually be battling at the right end of the table (so far anyway) after scrapping in a relegation fight for the last few years. After all, that’s what footballs about - that feeling when the final whistle goes and you’ve got 3 points in the bag. I’d much prefer it if we were scoring more goals to be fair - we’ve been starved in that regard for years, and it’s not started too well this season either. But if we get promoted this season, I’ll be getting just as drunk as I would if we got promoted to the Premier League, believe me!

Surprised you waste money going to games in the first place, given how little you seem to enjoy them ?
Don’t think you’ll find many argue that we deserved to win the game though to be fair, Peterborough were unlucky not to get a point.

I still think we’ll re-sign Waghorn… my supermarket ITK is definitely legit ?
In all seriousness, he does fit the “senior” striker bill at 32 now. Think he’s exactly the sort of player Rosenior wants - someone who can come off the bench and make an impact anywhere across the frontline. He knows the club, has experience in this League, and is known for his hard work and graft (despite lacking in actual technical ability). Would provide competition for Collins to start upfront, and can come off the bench on the wing if needed late in games to freshen things up.
Still think the Daily Mail had to have heard something to put that story out (though maybe that’s giving them too much credit). Probably just “interest” rather than the done deal they made it out to be, but I still think there might be something there.

Quite a few in front left immediately when we equalised! One of them must have been @one_chop, devastated that we might get something from the game.

Much like with the Carabao cup last week, give the reserves some game time, so they’re fit and firing if called upon in the League. We really should be beating Grimsby even with our squad players out there, it’s pretty pathetic if we don’t. It’s a good competition to keep all the players happy who aren’t starting in the League right now, so I hope we still put in 100% effort.

Presume this is the “senior” striker that Alan Nixon was talking about then… makes sense.
Apart from, of course, it doesn’t. We literally can’t pay any money for anyone, so how the hell would we sign him from Wednesday?! All we could do is offer to take him off their hands for free - what’s the chances of them just giving away their key striker? Seems an absolute nonsense link. The only way it could happen would be if Gregory went on strike to try and force a move here, so Wednesday had no choice but to let him go and get him off the wage bill. And why would he do that for what would be a sideways move at best.
Cannot see this one happening at all.

On the contrary, I wouldn't waste money by walking out early regardless of the score. However I think we were a tad fortunate to come away with 3 points.
