Yeah absolutely, what's the best way to go about it, shall I contact you on here nearer the time or a social media?

Awesome, I was born in Greenwich and lived all over South London, unfortunately, Woolwich is a complete dive now from when I was growing up, real shame.

All the people who are involved in that campaign are absolute heroes, believe a few of those people were also involved in the protest against our previous owner Roland Duchatelet. One thing we are good at, is a fight/protest against dodgy owners/controversy 😂

Amazing, I watch back those old games and the match day experience just seems so much different, everyone crammed in.

Luckily I didn't have that problem at Lincoln as I drove to it! Looks like I'll probably drive to Derby as well, trains looking bit steep, cheers though mate, ditto 👍🏻

…contact me @Brazilianceon here nearer the time & we can plan it. There’ll be a match thread Derby v Charlton on here and we can discuss. Cheers 🍻

Probably worth adding @Braziliance that if you're not into real ale, and want a normal pub instead of beer-bellied beardies admiring the content of their glasses more than they would their wives, if they ever had them, and droning on about "real" beer in a superior manner to no-one in particular, then the Harvester near the back entrance to the station (en route to the ground) is the designated away fans pub so will find your fellow Addicks there downing pints of nicely chilled continental lager.

Does it do Turkey Twizzlers @VulcanRam 😲

Crewton, what a wonderful insightful post, thank you.

Will certainly look to give these places a visit and give myself plenty of time to look around (providing work doesn't shaft me)

Whether or not I drink yet is if I drive which is up in the air, but one won't hurt 😎

Genuinely really looking forward to having a little wander, I did the same at Lincoln and was in awe at the Lincoln Cathedral, as I am getting older, I am finding the best part of the away days, is exploring the cities themselves. Probably doesn't help that we are so rubbish at the moment mind you 😂

I echo @Crewton’s plugs. Definitely worth looking at the Railway workers’ cottages adjacent to and integral with The Brunswick Inn & the story behind them. The “Brunny” as we call it is the only remaining railway inn in the world; designed by George Stevenson and Francis Thompson and built in 1842. Also they designed @ built Derby Railway station and the Midland Hotel opposite the station.
@Braziliance- all the above opposite the Railway station.

Thank you so much mate, they're usually a bit better, I like to get more fans on and of course missing the goal was a bit of a spoiler. Hopefully at Derby I can get more of yous on, I think I approached about 10 Derby lads and none seemed keen, think they were a bit worse for wear after some early doors away pints 😂👍🏻

As I said to Dave, very surprised to see you mention the strength and nasty streak as I think it seems quite the opposite.

A lot of high hopes for Jones, think he will do well for us and turn it around. Appreciate that you and of course, the same for you lot 👍🏻

@Braziliance Let me know if you want some Rams fans input - I can help you sort that. Serious offer.

Evening Rams, first time poster on here and a Charlton fan with a bit of a soft spot for Derby.

I just wanted to share my thoughts, vlog, and get some ideas for the fast approaching away tie (first visit). Unfortunately, I lived in Nottingham for 3 years and never quite ventured to Derby, only for a solo house viewing once. What's some good spots for away fans and what are the good touristy things that represent your city in a good light, I like to try and capture the place I visit on my vlogs if I can.

Congrats on the win, I didn't think there was much in it, and thought it was a classic away performance, you slowed the game, frustrated us and had a moment of quality on a mistake to seal the 3 points. My thoughts on Warne are, I believe he will get you promoted, whether it's this season or the next, but I think he'd have yous struggling in the championship. I think back to how good yous were in the early 2010s, and it's night and day. I remember a game at the Valley where we won 3-2 but you played liquid football at times, I've seen a few of your fans say the football is negative and hard to get behind, I'm always stuck in two minds if results matter more though overall.

    Anyway here's my vlog:

My uncle Antnony features on here and he's a life long Ram, not sure if he'd be a familiar face.

Always had a soft spot for yous for two reasons, the first being we shared an FA cup final (way before my time of course) and that I actually donned one of your kits when I was younger. It was the away strip from the late 90s, my uncle was trying to convince me to be a Derby fan and bought me it. Funny story is, I ate too much pizza one night and threw up all over it, resulting in it having to be thrown away, a week later I attended the Valley and the rest is history! I was probably one bad pizza party and a trip away from Derby to being a full time Ram haha.

All the best for the season, I hope to see some of yous at Pride Park and look forward to my visit. Good luck in the hunt for promotion, hope yous can do it 👍🏻

Great Vlog @Braziliance. Very fair appraisal and thanks for posting. You looked a lot better side than your position suggests. Nathan Jones will get you ticking again with just a couple of tweaks. You’re a tough, aggressive and strong team & you were just a bit anxious in the final third. Good luck for the remainder except when you come to us.

Agree with this. I was frustrated by our inability to slow the tempo of the match down & way we were surrendering possession when they had the ascendancy. Couple of times late on Collins got the ball from a break & tried to flick it on rather than holding it, looking for an easy sideways ball & enabling the team to move up the field. Earlier on in the match, there were a fair amount of 'aerial hooks' to no-one in particular (Hourihane particularly guilty of this) which enabled them to receive possession easily & come back at us.

The team obviously deserve credit for defending with real purpose (especially late on) but the point is it maybe didnt have to be so dramatic if we'd controlled the ball better.

Totally agree. We play an Alamo style…everyone puts their bodies on the line BUT reverting to shape and playing possession based football would take the sting out & frustrate the opposition. And remove the threat. Instead we become condensed around our box and invite a wave of attacks . It’s high risk. Warne seems to favour “heart” over “head” at these times. He’d still applaud the performance of putting bodies on the line if we conceded in the 97th minute; he said so in his post-match.

  8. Always watch, & find Shaun the Sheep’s forensic analysis spot-on. Also like Shaun’s sartorial selection & the fact that it’s usually a b&w blend. @Owen87ITK is also the perfect host. I’ve never done the extended Facebook thing but would love it if fans could be engaged with a bit more. I’ve suggested this before and it was pooh-poohed with “you’d just end up with Derek from Burton” but I do think it would work. There are a lot of very knowledgeable Rams fans who’d add value so I’m sure it would work with a bit of thought.

Tickets are on sale to season ticket holders at the moment. No updates about selling out on the club’s social media channels.

If any tickets are left, they go on general sale tomorrow at 10am. I suspect if any are available, it will be standing tickets.

I am another Cornwall based Ram with an anxious wait.

Fingers crossed for both of us. 🐏

I bet you’ll be fine. I know a few fans who can’t go as usual because of the distance. We had a great time there last season so enjoy.

Just watched PW’s post match interview, any idea what’s in his back pack?

Love that you’ve picked up on this. I suspect it contains:

    1. A signed photo of Delia Smith.

    2. A copy of Charles Hughes’ “Hoofball for Dummies”.

    3. A discarded list of current football league “Available Strikers” with addresses & phone numbers sent to Warney last September that Warney keeps meaning to get around to looking at but has put off up to now, in favour of watching cartoons on YouTube.

I've seen at least 3 stonewall penalties that he should have been given this season, where he's been assaulted at a set piece.

I'm hoping that when we play one of the other teams at the top, we will get a better referee that has the gumption and fortitude to make that big decision.

This ^. Problem is Sonney has the image of the villain & not the victim so the Lilly-livered Walter Softeys who most refs are these days will never give the foul.
