Bradford have always had good support, lot of time for them. As for the city, it suffers from a lack of investment generally but areas like Shipley & Saltaire are very nice.

Re starting line up, would echo a few others disappointed by lack of youth in the squad. This is exactly the type of occasion that should see some of them start or at least be on the bench. We are also risking important first team players in a low priority fixture...I will be mightily unimpressed if we pick up key injuries here.

Saltaire indeed very nice & historic. Saw David Hockney wandering about there.

    Hi,

I'm a Psychotherapist and am currently looking for an ex/reformed football hooligan to take part in a short interview discussing their motivations and experience.

This would be voluntary and you would remain anonymous in the report. The findings will be produced as part of a study looking into the lived experience of football hooligans. The interview will take no longer than 50 minutes and can take place over zoom or in person.

If you have any questions please let me know

    Thank you for your time

It’s all to do with telic- & para-telic meta-motivational states, modified by the consumption of copious amounts of alcohol and/or other drugs and, if you are of the Freudian persuasion as a psychotherapist, being stuck at the point of penis-envy added to a failure to process feelings of maternal warmth, possibly due to an absence of breast-feeding, wherein you are driven to sublimate internalise feelings of inadequacy by subjecting perceived rivals to violence and aggressive verbal abuse. Or summat 🤷‍♂️

Bonkers that Jimmy Collins is ranked #16th best with a rating scarcely higher than the median. The standard deviation figure tells its own story in that regard, I guess. I think I'd probably rate his season thus far as being a smidge off Nyambe, Nelson, Cash and Nate, a small smidge!

His more recent scores will lift him higher; I’ll post an update soon. I think as his fitness has improved - he hardly played the season before he signed - his scoring has too & that has improved his confidence into a virtuous cycle. He seems to get into the box more often now and still works at defensive duties. He’s poised to have an outstanding season - if the ideal scenario comes to pass Derby will get promotion & he’ll hit 20 goals. Don’t want to tempt fate - he could get injured - but it’s all nicely poised.

Do you mean not supporting as in attendance mate? I think that might be a passive thing as a lot of folk are struggling and perhaps it's a bridge to far for some incomes this season.

As to the OP's point, I seem to swing from one pole to the other in that the risk of injuries bloomin terrifies me, but it'd be grand to see a sea of black and white at Wembley again and of course the cash on offer is certainly is not to be sniffed at. I would like to see some of the fringe players getting time though and perhaps further blooding of one or two young'uns.

Yes - it did cross my mind about the economic angle re: affordability so good point.

Rams v Bantams in the Bristol Street Pizza Trophy Thingy

What kind of side will we put out?

Will we take a step further to Wembley?

    Who is going?

I think we’ll put out a side that will be competitive with “fringe” players and some youngsters mixed in, like the previous round. I think home advantage should help us to progress BUT it will be close. I’m going.

Come on Rams fans let’s support the Team.

16th place in the ratings but my player of the half-season is Collins. He is defending from the front so effectively, that he makes our centrebacks and rest of the defense look like world-beaters.

Not too shabby, while scoring once in 1,5 games.

Collo’s average ratings are increasing of late so suspect he’ll be higher soon.

  7. 31Vickers: 6 Slotted in; quick distribution; no fault goal.

    35Nelson: 7 No nonsense rock.

    5Bradley: 6.5 Respectable game.

6Cashin: 7.5 Got to balls he had no right to.

2Wilson: 7.5 Cartoon-character football skills, watch the birdy and I’ve slipped it past you.

    8Bird 🦅 8 Crucial assists & must stay.

    4Hourihane: 7 Sufficient presence

    22Fornah; 6 Late legs

    3Forsyth: 6.5 Calf-strain subbed

    20Elder: 6.5 Good outlet.

    19John-Jules: 6.5 Toiled & tried

7Barkhuizen: 7 Has the nack of hitting the net by being in the right spot.

    11Méndez-Laing: 8.5 power & pace MOTM

    9Collins: 7 Crucial 2nd & led the line

16Thompson: Energy & pace late on as Derby sealed it.

A potential banana skin avoided on a compact bobbly pitch. Crucial we keep Bird. Subs should’ve come sooner but job done. ✔️
