Absolutely bossed it tonight, so unlucky not to score from the edge of the box after a corner.clearance.

He’s now showing all the talent and ability many here thought he had. He’s clearly premiership quality and on this form I’d expect a new deal being offered or Palace selling him for a sizeable fee, as he’s now triggered that 1 year extension based on appearances.

Totally deserves it, it really was wishful thinking he’d drop to the championship, as sadly for us, the way he’s playing now, he’s going to be playing premiership football for awhile.

    So pleased for him though.

Yeah any notions of signing him were fanciful and now we have completely no chance. Palace fans even starting to appreciate him as well, chant his name whenever he gets the ball. Heard John Pienaar the political journo and Palace fan on H&J on Talksport and they were all waxing lyrical about Will. Shame he wasn’t in this form early season as he’d be a good squad option for England IMO. We don’t have many players in this country like him.

  2. Didn’t get to loads of away days managed a few more last season. Enjoyed two good wins at vale, Accrington I thought was quality. Could just park on the main road for free, straight into the pub, then served really quickly in the ground. And we won 3-0, perfect away day.

But league 1 is s**** and I hope we don’t ever go back there. I’m looking forward to playing the usual suspects again.

  3. Wow!!! What a day!! What a weekend!! I turned 40 on Thursday and this has been the ultimate present. On the pitch with my wife (who hates football but wore the Derby shirt I presented to her in my wedding speech 9 years ago) and my kids and my folks creating memories. I’m hoping it will be a day my daughters never forget!!

Yes the performance was s****!!! But the result was important and was never in doubt!! Warne has made this team ruthless in both boxes and that’s why we’ve got up. What I love is the culture and togetherness he and David Clowes have built. I’ve never wanted a manager to succeed more than Warne. He’s genuine he cares he’s a good bloke and he puts in the hours and gives his all for the club. John Gregory for example, as an ex legendary player and prominent manager at the time I thought he was going to be our saviour, he wasn’t and his b******* interviews just left you feeling fobbed off.

The togetherness from Admin is back. This group of players and staff is amazing and I’ll have fond memories of them and of yesterday until the day I die!! Some of them will move on but I back this group to recruit more amazing characters with more quality for the next chapter!!

We’re back!!!! B4 will be looking down and a proud man right now!!!

This is Percy openly acknowledging his loyalties and true colours with regards ourselves. When we as supporters were going through a tough time, he wasn’t so supportive defending our plight, he’s in the same bracket as that over rated accountant; nice to see Percy is feeling it here.

Hope he gets pelters from all angles, his credibility will slip the more he pins his colours to the Forest charade playing out.

I said as much (that he was tweeting as a Forest fan and club mouth piece), he promptly blocked me!!! 🤣 Think he’s blocked a few rams fans!!

  5. Rivalry aside, this lot are a disgrace to football!!! Lost again and once again not their fault. They’ve brought in clattenburg for one reason and one reason only to undermine officials. Forget FFP (where they also broke the rules and admitted to breaking the rules) they should be deducted points for this.

They deserve to go down and there will be a lot of football fans without black and white blinkers that now hope they do.

  6. In Vegas right now celebrating my birthday which is actually next week. However will be there next Saturday and as we’re then having my birthday meal with family the missus will also be at the match along with my kids. Hoping for amazing memories which will get my kids fully hooked on football and the Rams!!

  7. Really interesting. Stevenage was the major low point of the season, the point where most of us thought we need a change of direction as otherwise we’re going to be stuck here for years. The response from the staff and the players has been immense and we’re now on the cusp of promotion. That to me says we have bottle, resilience and clearly a group of players who are playing for their manager, and/or have the self motivation to not accept our performances at that time being good enough and actually do something to change it.

Next season is next season. There will be a turnover of players we will have a bigger budget and I think next season will be the time we can truly say this is Warne’s team. He’s proven he’s the right man for now whether he’s the right man for the future jury is out.

Anyone else getting ahead of themselves and thinking about arrangements of celebrations post Carlisle?

    Into Derby Saturday afternoon?

Open top bus parade Sunday afternoon or Monday evening?

Not quite yet but almost. I’m hoping Bolton chuck in a loss on Tuesday and we beat Cambridge to get promoted but as long as it’s in our hands last day we’ll get promoted.

Slightly controversial but if we did get promoted, do you think there would be an open top bus parade and would you want a parade? Did we have one in the 80s for 3rd division promotion? Part of me thinks yes we should, the club was in ruins nearly extinct so we should celebrate coming back from the brink, but then the other part of me thinks we should never be at this level and this promotion shouldn’t be celebrated as an achievement alongside our others.

I think we need to see where we are at the end of the season and then take stock. I think if we don’t go up Warne will resign. If we do, I think he will be given until Christmas to see what he can do. In the meantime let’s get behind the team and try and help get them over the line 😊

He won’t resign if we don’t go up. Clowes won’t get rid of him either. Clowes loves him and think it was quite clear from the fans forum that Pearce loves him. The people side, the environment, the culture, Clowes is big into that in terms of running his company (that’s a good thing by the way I’d want to work for a company with a good culture and think I do for the most part which is probably why I’m still there after 13 years). No one can deny Warne is very strong in this area. Warne is going nowhere and I think some need to realise that. I think he’ll be in charge for at least next season and probably the rest of his contract.

Personally I still think we’re going up so this is moot, but if we were to stay down, I think it would be counter productive to sack Warne and could risk keeping us down here for a few more years. He knows what it takes in League 1 as he’s won 3 promotions,  we’ve improved this season from last and I know a lot of people struggle to accept this but we have been hampered by restrictions compared with our promotion rivals both this season and last. This summer with no restrictions he’s best placed to know what we need to be promoted next season, a new playing style and building something new again could keep us down for longer IMO.

  10. Leicester lost to Millwall!!! Leeds had opportunity drew with Sunderland. Ipswich drew with Watford!! All games they “should” win. As Ed Dawes is just saying it wasn’t plain sailing in 95/96. It never goes to plan.
Players not on it tonight but no lack of effort. Man management is just as important here as tactics. We’ve probably got to win 3 games, just need to get into last game with it in our own hands.

So the players will suddenly put more effort in to avoid going down because they are being well paid? They appear to have put buggar all effort in up until now, and probably signed contracts that said nothing about a pay decrease if relegated. Tictoc was one of the highest paid players in the Prem last year if I remember correctly, it didn't seem to motivate him too much.

No but they have enough big players in their squad to perform and get the job done over Luton.  It’s a disgrace they’re even in the mix but let’s hope they do a Leicester and bottle it.

Unfortunately Forest have a lot of winnable games coming up.

Burnley, Sheff Utd and Everton away, plus Wolves and Chelsea at home.

I think they will get another 10 points.

I don’t see Luton getting any more than 6.

Luton gave it a brilliant go but they dropped some easy points by losing at home to Sheff Utd and squandering a 3-0 lead at Bournemouth.

Luton also have winnable games at home in particular and Forest have City to play. It’s not over. But I think Forest will get over the line simply because they have a top 10 wage bill and they should be nowhere near the relegation fight even with their points deductions.

  13. Normal service resumes. Forest lose and it’s all the ref’s fault again!! They really are getting tiresome. Roy Keane’s view on the Yates incident was spot on, he needs to toughen up. Sending Maddison off wouldve been soft. Danilo was a lucky boy also but I think that was the right call, case of slow Mo making it look worse, it was a natural movement to win the ball and not intentional.

I think we thought the same at Northampton….😎

And we responded by beating Blackpool and drawing away to Pompey unfortunate not to win. We lost back to back games in Feb, we responded by winning 4 in a row. In adversity the team generally delivers, even in the Northampton game despite being awful we still should’ve won. Bolton were battered by Bristol by all accounts but managed to win, we destroyed Bristol when we played them.

We’ve got the tools and are playing well enough to get the wins to get the job done regardless of what Bolton do.

Also didn’t vale go and beat Barnsley at their place recently? Drew away with Wigan and we’re unfortunate not to win. They’re in a scrap for survival and are picking up form who is to say Bolton won’t drop points against them. Derby are no more or less likely to drop points than Bolton and we’re net second with 4 games left. As others have said you’d have bitten your hand off for this position back in October when we lost to Stevenage.

    It’s time to believe.

For those of us who trudged out of Hillsborough, on the last day , last season . For those of us that have been through the last 4 , failed play

-off campaigns - I want to see the players “Run through brick walls”.

Same so do I and they will. Thing I like about us this season is how well we respond to adversity. There is a steel about them. We’ve had to s******** recent games largely due to our injury situation (which is as bad as anyones in the league for all Bolton’s bleating), but I thought we were really good against Pompey and I can see a return to the excellent performances of Bristol Vale and Reading for the last 4 games. If we play like we did against Pompey in the remaining fixtures we’ll get this done, no doubt in my mind.

  16. Yes it feels awful, nerve wracking but by the same token exciting. All these emotions beat monotony every day of the week and twice on Sundays. It’s situations like this that make us love football. And if we don’t get over the line (which I think we will but if we don’t) then the season isn’t over in disappointment we have the playoffs to look forward to. Isn’t great to actually hand something to play for.

  17. I think players who could be very good in the championship and be in top half teams are as follows:

Cashin, Nelson, Nyambe, Wilson, Mendez-Laing, Blackett-Taylor, Gayle. Of these I think Cash could go on to play in the prem, think Nelson, Nyambe, Wilson would also do as squad players if we got there, too early to say about CBT. I really rate Nelson he’s been the surprise of the season and think he could be one of the better centre backs in the champ next season.

As for the rest of them, think Wildsmith Bradley Elder Ward Thommo (he could possibly go into the first category) Sibs will be ok squad players next season, possibly Barks but the rest I feel need to be moved on. Brown could be a factor, if not immediately then second half of the season after another loan spell.

So in summary work needed but think we will definitely see younger players with potential signed next season as we will have no additional restrictions now.
