  1. Why on gods earth are we putting up with this garbage.

I accept that we have to be humble in that “we are grateful to survive” but for how long do we have to be grateful and go through this purgatory of absolute dross.

I am beginning to wonder if it’s all been worth while.

Surly I’m not alone, it’s absolutely appalling what we are being subjected to.

  2. I have mixed emotions on the season so far, one being we are ebbing and flowing like 95% of teams do for the first 10 games of a season do, but the counter side is the total dross that emanates from our managers mouth.
Surely he doesn’t believe in what’s happening and I would prefer him to not to show his ineptitude by saying what he does.

If however he genuinely believes in what he’s doing I do have definite concerns on our likelihood of leaving this league anytime soon.

  3. It absolutely amazes me that fans of a club can spend months and months debating the possible demise of DCFC to then have an opportunity to discuss footballing matters which is then declined and instead go in to raptures about a word used inadvertently to describe a player whose name was not immediately apparent at the time of going to print.

    Well done one and all!

I was critical of the timing of Rooney's resignation, but this "he had nothing to lose" narrative is well OTT in my view. Keeping us up without a PD was a tough enough job (check the bookies odds at the start of the season for reference) but it became nigh on impossible after not one but two deductions, each falling at a time when the team had fought their way into a hopeful position. To then be denied the services of Jagielka and Shinnie, Kazim's injury, Bielek's struggle with fitness, and the loss of promising young players on the verge of the first team, must have been an enormous blow. And yet he somehow managed to not only motivate himself to rise again, but coaxed the team back into contention until the last few games. If you've never had to manage a "forlorn hope" situation, you'll never know how much inner strength it requires, regardless of the size of your pay packet. For that and giving us fans something to believe in when all hope was lost, Rooney deserves our gratitude as a minimum.

I totally agree with all you have stated, he was not perfect but who is, he made school boy errors but who hasn’t. At the end of the day he helped to keep hope alive and galvanised fans and players in away that frightened the EFL to a point where they didn’t know whether to have a s—t or hair cut. For that I will always give him respect.

Of course there has to be NDA's in place, their place is to work for the creditors, not working with the EFL. The EFL are just the governing body of the association we are in,they cannot interfere with administration processes.

The EFL are are a governing body!

You have obviously been participating in the happy water if that’s your belief.

I wouldn’t trust them to take my dog a walk, I honestly think if they did they would bring me back a different one.

  6. Let’s start being honest with ourselves, Derby County FC is fake believe it’s not really existed for the last 9 months.

Unfortunately for us the money people have treated us like a rich man’s toy and will probably continue to do so.

In my humble opinion they have no redeeming features, but I’m not from the same side of the street as them.

Very sad but the so called game of football is in my very humble opinion absolutely screwed and unrecognisable from what I recollect, it’s so sad that the youngsters will never experience the joys we had following DCFC.

I suppose fans in all clubs will have the same rose tinted spectacles.

Sorry but I’m on a downer and I can’t see a lot of light at this extremely dark tunnel.

What consequences do Quantuma face if they consistently fail to deliver on the timescales which they've set themselves?

Cynically one could say it's in their interests to spin things out as long as they can as they then maximise their charges.

The height of in competence being setting your own criteria and targets then failing to meet them!

i am just so demoralised by the whole thing you get deadlines and hope to have something to look forward too but deep down you know you will be disapointed

have Q kept their word about anything they have said so far?

i think they are pushing their luck in thinking the efl wil continue extending until we actually get some good news. i am seriously worried about the coming days i would like somebody to tell me a reason why these guys are up to the job apart from saying they are qualified professionals . it all seems like blind faith to me.

they appear useless what has been done since arrival. no respectable journalist has said anything on the matter and that just makes me think there is no news to report which is not good

My take on the situation is the old adage of "One mans importance is another mans trivia" at this particular juncture as for as they are concerned we fall into the later.

  9. It’s called having the opposite of the Midas touch, when everything you touch turns to poo.

Yes it’s not the best just lately but Derby County FC has always had a tendency to be the ultimate in roller coasters, I for one hold no malice.

At most things in life you serve an apprenticeship possibly two that you don’t, one being a parent and the other a football chairman both of which can on occasions be an absolute nightmare.

I really do believe we will be ok it might not all happen in the majority of supporters acceptable time frame but I’m sure it will happen and to the club’s benefit and satisfaction.

Happy New Year to one and all.

B4, I absolutely agree with you and that was the point I was making. I hate to remain silent when the efl has done such an injustice to our club.

Mel Morris and his staff are to blame for our position, but the efl have added to this by their unfair and vindictive  treatment of our club. They have not applied their standards and rules to other clubs who are in a similar position to Derby. We seem to have been singled out for very unfair treatment. We must show our anger because if we don't this might be seen by the efl as agreeing with our punishment. Yes, the Derby fans have every right to come out and protest with banners. Keep the faith! ?

I suppose you can look at it two ways:-

one:- Show to the footballing world how unfit for purpose the EFL are and try to protect clubs that find them subjected to the bizarre tactics of distorting the facts to their own agendas.

two:- Comply and come back via league one and laugh at them.

To be honest I can see it from both points

My preferred option however would be to beat the drop and then call them out!

    Wishful thinking on my part.

I can’t understand the quite deserved comment .

He is so confident the Administrators have a buyer but if they haven’t he will be distraught or maybe he won’t.

Maybe that depends on the which side of the fence he’s propagating at the time, one thing is certain he’s not capable of making his own mind up!
