Give Mel some slack he did what he thought was best for the RAMS yes it hasn't worked out  but its easy to be wise after the event.
Everyone makes mistakes in buisness but he made his with the club he supports at heart , if he hadn't been a RAM perhaps his judgement would have been far better.

I don’t buy that they weren’t drinking together, but didn’t the breathalyser reports show that Lawrence and Bennett whilst over the limit, and I’m not disputing that, but weren’t a stupid amount over?
I’d roughly go with the idea that Keogh’s ‘few drinks’ was more than a few, he knew Lawrence would have had a drink that night but not that he was over the limit.

I'd no idea he was at Blackpool now. I suppose most donkeys end up there. I jest of course because he was immense for us on the pitch. However if it breaks his heart, like he proclaims, to see us in our current predicament then surely the he will drop his claim against us. 
He can't surely be desperate for the money. Take some responsibility and do the right thing RK. 

Fair enough, I did say it was a personal choice and I don’t condone what he did but it’s  clear we sacked him and not the others for reasons that are all too obvious now. Most people would probably sue for unfair dismissal in such circumstances. Personally for myself enough time has passed and I can think positively of what he contributed to the club. I 100% accept that some people won’t give him any quarter.

We’ll yeah, like I say, listen, yeah, - I’m surprised that he can string a sentence together when stone cold sober. 

It may or may not be true, but it's entirely believable. I'm sure loads of us have had a few more beers than we realised and maybe not put a seatbelt on. After a few beers, it's hard to know if the person driving you has actually been drinking too, I would assume they hadn't. It's then incredibly unlucky to be involved in a bad accident, and get your knee smashed up.

I don't know why everyone is getting so upset about this.
Didn't you hear the bit of his interview where our Mel insisted administration was a "great opportunity" for us?
He also said "this isn't the end for Derby County" in a way that suggested we should be grateful for his reassuring words of wisdom with regards our club actually continuing to exist beyond this season.
It's all part of the masterplan.

Well that's a good start - couldn't even  get the press release factually correct. I'm pretty sure that the Racecourse Ground was the club's original home.

It exposes the EFL for what they really are....not so much of a regulator, more a protection racket.... 

This happened to my local club Oxford United. The former owner of the club Firoz Kassam sold the club but kept hold of the stadium and all the revenue generated from the sales of food, drink, non football events etc. This has such a detrimental effect on the clubs finances they have been seeking a new location to build a ground for years. 
The ground must be brought back into club ownership if we are to prosper post-Morris.

The  big question is can there ever be enough threads for us to express our anger and loathing towards the man who has left the club in peril of no longer existing
