The biggest issue with selling knight is that if we are successful at getting promotion he is exactly the type of player we would need to sign in the championship so for me keep him and increase his pay and length of contract - he just needs convincing and he’s a lad that has never put a foot wrong or spoken out of place and is a very good footballer

So do I B4 but £4 million is what we should be getting and £2 million is what I expect we will sell ourselves short on. When we are back in the championship we won’t be able to afford someone as good as knight but we are where we are.

I don’t know enough about him but
we are a third division club and he has had success at this level !
interesting that he scored so many goals and has a great assist record from that position !
we need cover at RWB or RB !
he is a free transfer !
He isn’t someone else’s youngster wanting a guaranteed game every week
no one should be complaining

Up to £1 million is skin flint money - Birmingham can stuff off
surely a club like Sheffield United who have little money to spend in the premiership would view 2.5 million a bargain
-
That’s massively short of any kind of value and £4 million with a decent sell on would be a better conversation
we would simply be better off keeping him and using him
-
So Bournemouth sack the manager of the season in the premiership - a bit harsh
-
Better for us if we achieve promotion this coming season and he plays for us next season in the championship

I am currently in Las Vegas - last night I watched the USA vs Mexico in front of 65000 fans which were mostly Mexican !
the game ended 3-0 to USAThe referee booked 9 players and sent off 4 players and finished the game a minute early due to homophobic chanting
It was Sunday morning hacking of the opposition with a football not needed - played at the home of the Las Vegas Raiders and they would be looking to sign some of those footballers 😂
The Referee was absolutely Fine !
The stadium is also superb -

"The charges relate to the Club failing to meet their obligations to pay its players’ wages on time and in full on or around 31 October 2022, 30 November 2022 and 28 April 2023."
Oct 2022? WTF?
When we were a day late with payment in the run up to Christmas 2021, EFL were onto us with a transfer embargo within 2 weeks, scuppering our Jan recruitment plans.
I hope your not suggesting that clubs are treated differently 😆😆😆😆

On loan Thorne was pretty much the best midfielder in the league.
Comfortable anywhere on the ball, solid tackles, great vision, great footballing brain, he could shoot from long range, he got up well for headers, you could go on and on.
Then Derby bought him and with that came the Derby curse.
Thorne hardly played for us on loan, 13 games was it ? Yes he looked fantastic but so did every one else in that side which affects things. In that same season he was on loan at Watford as well without making any headlines.

I really do think plenty on here seriously under value Knight

You can’t see it unless you’re a member mate.
Secret society then - isn’t that a very boring way of going about things ? You come here and have a decent chat and fair enough but over there alternative conversation isn’t tolerated? We know Mr P likes to talk to himself and eventually believes what he is saying to himself in some confused Stockholm syndrome pattern.

My mate who works for Brighton says Derby paid his full wages throughout and it was £5,200/week (times nine months) and there will be no compensation to be paid to Brighton by whoever signs him. They don't view him as a left-back.
This is true that he isn’t a left back and currently doesn’t look like a centre back either in a back four - we played him there out of a needs must situation just like we stuck Sibley at left back as well.

Good luck to the fella - gave his best for us and owes us nothing

We have 25% sell on clause in there I believe. Morgan waiting to see who new Swans manager is though
Assuming that the administrators didn’t cash it in at a discounted price

The owner employed a manager in Warne who has a track record of getting promotion from the third division and did it spending very little money - I am sure that is the current plan also - does a player want to play in front of big crowds every other week then yes we are a big option for them, if it’s just about the money then they will probably go elsewhere.
we are a great option for younger players who want to prove a point and progress as well as a great option for a experienced player who actually knows what the football pyramid is actually like and how lucky they would be to be given the opportunity to play for Derby County

Just had a quick look and a couple of places suggest it's Hourihane and Knight. I've heard £12k per week mentioned repeatedly for Hourihane ever since he signed, Knight was more of a surprise.
These sites are never fully accurate but this is very interesting, what stood out to me: https://salarysport.com/football/sky-bet-league-one/derby-county/
Didzy on £7.4k per week
NML on £4.9k per week
Cashin on £3.3k per weekThat means given he signed on a free, but factor in a signing-on fee, and David McGoldrick cost the club less than half a million all-in for last season... some bargain that!
It was a gamble - he could just as easily done his knee and we got 28 minutes out of him - that’s football

The links to crypto are a moot point. This guy has no money. He's like a poundshop version of the madhead who tried to buy us.
Yes but the EFL passed all those who wanted to buy us as fit and proper ! - the last one being due to be jailed if he hasn’t already

We lost that because of COVID - the main source of our stable income was gone and the transfer market was decimated.
We've both spent recklessly in pursuit of the PL, and both suffered because of it.
Roberts isn't joining us because we're offering him some daft deal whilst you're offering him a sensible one, there's a whole host of reason why we're a more attractive proposition than you lot currently. That's just how it is.
Hmmm not sure what the whole host of reasons are apart from money - it’s not like you try to get promoted or anything

When does the transfer window open?
Also has there been anything on when the players are back for pre season?
I've seen a few teams are back already
Burnley are back training 🤷♂️

Anyway if he signs for us that’s great if he signs for notts county good luck to him - he is out of contract his choice
I enjoyed watching him play last season and we needed him but what amazed me was that he was fit for most of the season - his injury record suggests long absences and maybe next season one of his injuries returns and we would have been missing him anyway.
He gave us everything so good luck to him 🍺

Dreadful conditions imposed on the league sides forcing them to play a certain number of league starters in these games - ultimately players get tired or injured who wouldn’t ordinarily be selected. All this to suit the premiership under 23 sides
