Is this the case?
Created plenty at Charlton but missed many chances, last night I did not watch but certainly looked like Stearman should have scored and probably Sibley too.
I don’t think style of play really comes into it. Chances are being created certainly in our first 3 games of the season but are largely being missed. Collins is the prime suspect of that but I have belief that at this stage of the season the main thing is he is getting in the spots to miss them.

How many are teams creating against us? How many are being created in the other 11 games in the division? 1-1.5 xG seems a good benchmark at this stage of the season from what I can see on Experimental 361. We’ve done that every game so far

Seems a pretty hilarious over reaction to a game away against a reasonable L1 side that, again, it appears we had some decent ish chances and should have won despite still being undercooked fitness wise.

I think when we played Charlton LR alluded to something at the end of the first half where we went a bit risk averse and played a long goal kick after we’d been dominating. Charlton won the ball, got a foothold and missed two good chances in the space of a few minutes.
Stood out to me because I remember thinking it was good that what I felt was a sensible decision was made, to not try and play out at the end of the half. But I hadn’t thought about the other side of it that Derby had complete control and going long changed the end of the half into a series of 50/50’s. 
The point being I don’t think it’s as easy as saying do it sometimes, don’t do it others. Because fundamentally there is a reason we do it and it is not something you can just switch off

Wildsmith 7 - couple of v good saves first half along with some shaky passing, couldn’t do anything for the goal.
Knight 7 - steady as ever, think the role suits him
Stearman 6.5 - not really troubled, perhaps slightly at fault for the goal if being harsh. Can’t say he fills me with confidence on the ball
Cashin 9.5 - doubt we’ll see a better individual CB performance this season. 
Roberts 7 - solid defensively and did well when put under pressure with loose passes first half especially. Starting to do more going forwards too.
Sibley 7 - couple of good moments but needs to make himself harder to sub off. Think he’ll have a lot of joy this season if trusted to.
Bird 6.5 - good first half, needed to do more to get back control of the game second half. Possibly still getting used to having a bit more defensive responsibility
Hourihane 7.5 - bit of a worry defensively but his left foot is just ridiculous. That cross for the Collins chance worth 1 point alone
Mendez Laing 7 - quiet but good goal
Barkhuizen 7 - always a good outlet and building a nice partnership with Hourihane on the left, good assist
Collins 6.5 - decent all round game again and getting enough chances that when he scores one he’ll score loads
Smith 6 - not sure the role he is playing really suits him but that is not his fault. Tidy footballer but think he should be competing with Bird’s and maybe Knight’s roles rather than Sibley’s.
Dobbin 6.5 - good energy
Forsyth 6 - no time to do much

From what I read it is unlikely the condition of their pitch is likely to improve.
I suppose it is a relief that all their fans will fit into the Pirelli okay as they may need it for a while

Saw a Forest fan mention that this is indicative of their scattergun approach to recruitment prior to Cooper joining.
Can only assume it was lost on him that their recruitment under Cooper so far amounts to building a (to be fair, good) team from players they don’t own then having to replace them all at way above market fees because clubs know they are desperate.
Not to mention spending all summer chasing a player who’s current club seems to have little interest in selling, and getting as far as agreeing a fee for their third left back of the window before realising he has no interest in signing for them.

I think this has been a complete step change in performance to the away games I saw last season.
Rosenior’s job is to set the team up in a way that gives them the best chance of picking up points which I think he has done today because we’ve been excellent.  I don’t think he can legislate much for Knight’s header or a ball bouncing the wrong way off a post.
I don’t particularly like the phrase but “the process” looks very good so far

Ultimately, will win more than we lose playing like this.
