Taribo reacted to Sweetness34 in NEW KIT
No matter what happens, whether it's black and white, navy and white, black numbers, red numbers, pink numbers (sorry @B4ev6is), we'll have zero chance of having the worst kit in league one this season thanks to this monstrosity from Barnsley!

I’m really really hoping Cash recreates the iconic Jake Buxton plastic bag and scruffy old polo shirt photo.

Taribo got a reaction from Rammeister in Krystian Bielik - Joined Birmingham on a 3 year deal
He was always ordinary, always on the edge of losing the ball and would dive in recklessly.
(puts tin hat on and runs away)

well it’s quite a message, even to someone with Jason’s spirit and determination: “ go out there are run until you feel nauseous, then run some more and faster. oh and don’t be dispirited by - week in week out - being along side senior players who are paid more, who tell you what to do and who don’t deliver anywhere near the % of effort you are cranking out. PS and you’ll be playing out of position.
And even then we got a decent season out of him. Good luck Jason you’ve been massive

Perhaps less cynical but more naively, I am a little more generous to Bielik:
How on earth you can potentially hold him responsible for the transfer fee we paid is a mystery.
Yes, he was injured a lot but, I don’t think you can blame him for that. I don’t think he got injured deliberately.
From what I can see, whilst he has said he wants to play at a higher level than league 1 (which player wouldn’t?) I don’t think he has ever said he doesn’t wants to play for Derby.
None of us know the facts but my gut feeling is that, whilst he/his agent may have had a part in the loan to Birmingham I also think it suited Derby (to help cover his wages and keep him in the shop window to hopefully increase his potential sale value) and the club may well have been the driving force behind the deal. Similarly, he may not be making any noises about a desire to return to Derby (sensibly given it looks very likely he will remain at Birmingham) but what have the club indicated to him? It could well be that directly or indirectly Derby have said something like we can’t afford your wages and therefore need to move you on (they may of course have sold it a bit better by agreeing with him that it would be better for his career for him to play at a higher level).

Not seen enough of him to know how good he really is. Lots of players look good in patches (not bandaids!).
I know Brummy fans disagree but I wasn't that impressed when I saw him play for them, he seemed quite ordinary. He also looked ordinary in the World Cup. So maybe that's it in the end post-injury he's just an ordinary Championship midfielder.

I like him. I'm not fussed at all about his aerial duel stats, he's a midget and will play 10 not 9 anyway. Something quite striking was the percentage of goals on last season's showreel that were spontaneous, or of his own work. Some tap-in's too, but this is a guy who can score even if the team around him isn't on fire and he can do it inside, or outside the box and with either foot.
He's also permanently in motion, with or without the ball, so even when not directly involved, he'll still stretch back 4's. Hard to tell how quick he is, but he reacts rapidly enough and does not look slow. I'd wager he's a nightmare to defend against at this level and some of those goals match up to Didzy's best. Honestly, I'd be very pleased to see him at PP, though the deal must be right for the club. I sense that might be the only thing preventing it at the moment, which would be a shame.

Tell me, Mino Raiola, how we go about creating a bidding war for a player with a history of two ACLs, is known not to want to play for us, has 1 year left on his contract and the whole footballing world knows we literally can’t afford to have to pay his wages this season?
The fact he’s gone permanently for money and not just on loan is astounding business.
