BucksRam reacted to TigerTedd in Derby County fined by the FA
Just heard this reported on talk sport, and they said it was to do with the reaction to the sending off, and the subsequent penalty. Implying Roos gave away a penalty. So it’s all just ******** really.

BucksRam reacted to Ghost of Clough in Panic buying
They could have been running on empty but put just £10 in so that enough was left for others.
Doubtful, but I'm sure there will be some people like that about
-
BucksRam got a reaction from Turnstile in Kaide Gordon
Couldn't agree more. Rudiger is currently delaying on signing a new contract, asking for circa £200,000 a week (over £10m a year). Christensen has just agreed a new £120,000 a week contract, jumping from £78,000. It's honestly obscene. Yeah they're good footballers but really? It's no wonder the game's broken.

BucksRam reacted to Ted McMinn Football Genius in Recovering 21pts: is it possible?
Forever hopeful that we can scrap our way out of this.
1- we’ve eroded the -12 points already
2- we are hard to beat and well organised (it appears)
3- several other teams could well be compounded with some level of points deductions too
4- we have the best midfielder outside the Premier league due to return to our ranks by January ????
5- king CKR is due back in to the squad
6- if we get new owners before January then just maybe we can make a few additions ????
7- our fans are standing up to be counted and as a whole we are unified against everyone else (good old siege mentality) ??????
8- we have FORTRESS Pride Park
9- we have something to fight for
10- WE ARE DCFC NOW LETS HAVE IT ??????
if we do manage to pull this off then someone should make a film about it.

Not sure what's worse... booking a Christmas delivery already or that spelling of "Chrimbo"

BucksRam got a reaction from Rammy03 in Sky Commentary
Yeah we all have our favourites, and like you, there's more than a few male commentators/presenters who I really could do with not seeing on my TV. Most broadcasters are guilty of this, but Sky in particular seem to push people in front of the camera / mic who simply have no on screen charisma whatsoever, just because it ticks a sex/race box when clearly they should be elsewhere doing whatever they do best.
-
BucksRam got a reaction from Rammy03 in Sky Commentary
Difficult question to ask without appearing sexist . All I'll say is there's a number of commentators or pundits who I feel are pushed to the fore because of political correctness but who are honestly dire at what they're being asked to do. And, where the women's games are concerned, having watched WSL, a fair amount of the England women's international cricket, and similarly women's rugby, there does seem to be very few male commentators or pundits on these. Indeed they're very heavily weighted toward women which I can understand since most are ex pros who'll be closer to their form of the game. On the men's side however it's often at least 50/50 which does smack of PC-ness.
At the end of the day, if you know the game, and can provide insightful commentary, I guess it shouldn't matter if you're male, female, black or white - I do however remain slightly old school - let those who know their form of the game best, commentate and pundit on their game.

If you're talking about Emma Hayes, Chelsea Manager, yeah I agree, she was spot on.

BucksRam got a reaction from Wolfie in What's your favourite blatant corporate lie?
Vegetarian foods disguised as meat products do my head in. They're bought by veggies who don't want meat, so why pretend they're meat. It's all a marketing lie.
Vegetarian Express - "THIS Isn't Chicken Pieces" - no you're right, they're soyabean in breadcrumb. Call them that.
Birdseye "Chicken Free Nuggets" - ah, just what I was looking for - chicken free nuggets.
M&S Plant Kitchen "No Beef Burger" - and there was me looking for either No Chicken or No Lamb burgers. I'll have to make do with No Beef ones instead.
Richmond "Meat Free Sausages" - they're made of soya protein and other veggie bits, so call 'em what they are, vegetarian tubes. They're not sausages. A sausage is defined as: an item of food in the form of a cylindrical length of minced pork or other meat encased in a skin, typically sold raw to be grilled or fried before eating.

I have a soft spot for 'Our menu options have recently changed' because it would seem all companies do these days is change their menu options.
We are experiencing higher than normal call volume is a beauty too. My bank is literally experiencing higher than normal call volume every time I call - which does tend to have me thinking that the higher levels is really the norm, and not what they were getting in 1967.
But I think Sky are pulling out all the stops with an email I got the other day telling me that my programmes were handpicked. Of course they are.

BucksRam got a reaction from LeedsCityRam in Wayne Rooney press conference
Just listened to the interview - thanks @RoyMac5 for the link.
Have to say it got me a bit emotional which surprised me. Rooney's comments, attitude, support, empathy and God knows how many other superlatives was nothing short of outstanding.
100% cleared up questions around communication with Mel confirming Mel's ignored him since early August - utterly shameful behaviour. 100% cleared up questions about Mel's total lack of care, simply repeating his cold, insincere radio speech to staff and players whose livelihoods he's put at real risk 100% cleared up the questions of whether he's personally funded some things - he has, so the players and staff have what they need to progress. 100% cleared up questions around what he thought of Mel - and as direct as he still was, he was clearly being diplomatic. 100% cleared up his commitment to this club, the players, the staff and us fans. We've had other threads opining views on Rooney but in my honest opinion, this bloke is already a legend just for sticking by us and for doing what he's done with the team despite everything going on. He seriously could afford to walk away, but for the council estate lad who fought for everything he has, he simply won't unlike our esteemed previous owner. Credit too the players who could so easily capitulate. And credit tot to LR & Co who resolutely stand by Rooney.
What I do get out of this, and the Administrator's press conference, is that there is a huge belief in this club, regardless of whether we remain in the Championship, or, more likely L1 and that mid to long term we will come again better, fitter and stronger.
I have honestly been doom and gloom this past few days, but today, there's a ray of light for me, that those in the wings might, just might genuinely want to see us good, and not simply cash in and see us fade ingloriously away.
