Have you heard how all the vaccines are working against all the variants?

Stats in Bolton show that in vaxinated population rate is <=10/100,000 so I think it is fair to say that we just need to complete the vaccine programme and were all good.
This is on assumption that we are going to be a nation that has small amount of corona around in hospitals for ever.
Interested in what places like Australia will end up with. They have been successful in their near zero corona approach but probably it is not sustainable if they want to properly turn their economy back on. Ie the rest of the world will accept it is ok to have some level of transmission without lock down, but know they have some level of herd immunity. Aus needs to convince their population to get to the same place as the rest of the world or end up being semi cut off.

Anarchy.
Policy worked ok for Australia as they are all criminals, or sons and daughters of criminals, effectively. They are ok being locked down. It’s in their DNA.

Fortnite is pretty good tbh - maybe you can also get him into the creative that comes with it? One of my lads had great fun designing his own maps etc.
Also you should look at 'Save the World', its the solo/multiplayer PvE game that comes with Fortnite. I've personally had hundreds of hours of fun with that and it teaches you to build/shoot etc without the pressure of some PvP god gunning you down before you realise you're under attack ? You can get it pretty cheap now-a-days or iirc you can pick it up free with a fortnite membership.

I remember seeing the reports of people dropping in the streets in China at the start and my experience of it here has been totaly different, I know a fair number of people who have tested positive and been mildly ill ( wife included) or totally no ill effects whatsoever, like yourself I don’t know a single person who has died of covid or been hospitalised even though I have worked throughout the whole time as have my family, so like yourself I’m also not saying that there’s no deaths but I also believe the whole world being closed down is hard to fathom??♂️

Without wanting to get to political and despite playing his role down Dominic Cummings is a very clever man.
Labour are on their knees at the moment and offer zero political opposition - has there ever been a better time to 'air the covid laundry' than now?
Get it all out there, apologise, sack a few underlings then move on and forget about it all whilst the opposition are sinking faster than the Titanic and despite all the usual Tory sleaze they appear more popular than ever ?

Maybe some people aren't looking for a conspiracy theory but just find the figures hard to comprehend because of personal experience.
127,000 deaths is 0.2% of the population, 1 in 500 people.
In Derby that would equate to around 5,000 deaths.
I don't know of 1 single person that has died from it so Im left scratching my head a bit.
I don't think figures are being made up but I do think every figure that could have been used by the media to make this thing look worse than it is, has been played on massively.

Amazing how dying in a car crash two weeks after positive test IS related to Covid.

Probably getting to the age of the population that aren't to fussed about getting the jab - therefore freeing up capacity?
Does anyone know what the latest uptake figures are, especially amongst the under 45s?

Not got one personally but we had a Playstation VR for a while and whilst they are pretty good gaming wise for me and my kids at least the novelty wore off pretty quick tbh.
The problem I have with any VR set is that you're sealed off from your surroundings (people in the same room, dogs, furniture, etc) and they take up a lot of space. As you wear them for a bit you naturally shuffle around the room - then there is the problem of your flailing arms...
If you've got plenty of room to play (alone) and you don't mind the tedious setting up/putting away all the time they can be good fun. If your console/computer is in the lounge that other people use or you share the headset with others it can get fairly annoying however.
Dunno about the OQ2 but the PSVR had good resale value so there was always that ?

That's a bit ambitious. Most of them (Rooney included) didn't come back until about November last season ?

Side effects of getting the Yorkshire variant are said to include an immediate reluctance to spend money, talking in an annoying and grating whiny accent, and having an overwhelming feeling of self-importance. Long COVID has actually been endemic in Leeds and Sheffield for over 50 years based on my contact experiences.
