I have some very sad news this evening.  Daniel (B4) died earlier this week. He was just 38.
As you know, he has been battling numerous health conditions for a long time, but always remained cheerful  and was the most loyal supporter of his beloved Rams, home and away.
He was at the match at Crewe and gave his full support as always.
Daniel leaves behind a grieving dad, mum and sister. Our thoughts go out to them and we only hope they get a little comfort from knowing how well loved Daniel is by all who know him.
Here are a couple of photos that his dad agreed could be shared. I'm sure many of you have others, as Daniel loved a selfie at the game.
David is hoping to arrange a more fitting tribute in time, but for now please raise a glass in his memory and a good Derby win today. I am sure that's what Daniel would have been doing tonight.

Firstly, why should Derby accommodate this?
I’m not sure that something like this is necessary. It’s nothing to do with football, so why are people trying to introduce it en masse?
In the same manner that if someone wanted to do an equivalent for, say, Palestine, I imagine these same people would be suggesting that wasn’t acceptable.
If you want to show your support, wear a poppy.
If you don’t wish to then you don’t have to.
And most importantly, be respectful of each other’s personal views - just because people have a different outlook to you, it doesn’t mean you have to attack them - everything is so polarised nowadays, it’s exhausting.

One step forward, two steps back. Warne has to adapt; this awful style he adopts every time we play a half decent side does not work. Other, more forward thinking gaffers, are sussing us out too easily and when something doesn't work, Warne does not possess the instincts to change things up. We're flat track bullies and one trick ponies at the same time.
Either we adapt, or if we persist, then we have 2-3 games to turn this around before the fanbase goes full toxic. Honestly, I am DTID, but even more than administration, I'm finding this hard to stomach. Venting on here won't help with that, but from a footballing PoV, this is as bad as it gets, or at least as bad as it should be allowed too.
Warne's stubbornness is infuriating and I'm afraid to say he's proving to be as limited as many of us suggested he would be when we made it quite clear that we'd regret letting Rosenior go. Not so much a 'he who laughs last' though, as I don't see anyone laughing now. It's the one small note on which us fans are at united.
Mr Clowes has, for all his good intentions, landed between a rock and a hard place. I feel desperately sorry for him as a growing number seem to have turned on him already. I didn't agree with his call, but I had to respect it, given the risk and financial burden he took on to ensure we still had a club, but I now fear he may be in for a torrid time of things over the coming weeks and months. Honestly, I just wonder at what point lady luck returns to the club and we see some uplift in our fortunes. Having been fully taken in by Morris, I'd most likely nut him if I saw him now, as this is all his work and having been so thoroughly duped just makes it feel even worse 😔

I'm feeling very sad at the moment.
I'm not sure what is going wrong. I really wish things were different and we could be joyful and positive at this point in the season.
I don't know whose fault it is. I like Paul Warne but we don't seem to be improving.
I like PW and wanted him to succeed so much.
Hate to hear the booing and the chants, and now we are 10th.

Exactly this. If we can't beat Exeter in their current form, then we are in BIG trouble.
Shrewsbury supporters saying that was easily their best performance of the season - and their goalkeeper was still their MOTM.
If we take an early chance tomorrow we could be on for the sort of morale- boosting win that  the players, the manager and the crowd needs.
    🤞

Let's analyse the situation here a little.
We are a cash-strapped club which narrowly avoided extinction last season. We are still under severe financial restrictions imposed by the EFL - we have to adhere to a business plan agreed with them. We have a manager who has been here less than one year of a four year contract. In order to relieve him of his duties, a large percentage of his contract will need to be bought out - using money we don't have. In order to bring in the 'right' manager, it is likely that we would have to pay compensation to another club - the alternative being that we employ someone who is currently out of work. In order to strengthen the team, we need to either bring in loans (and very few players are being loaned out by Championship or Premier League clubs at the moment - it's usually a 'last minute' thing) or free agents who are, by definition, players who have been discarded by others because we are unable to pay a substantial fee. Oh, now I'm depressed.

I've been really ill for the last few weeks, so missed both Bolton and West Ham.
Still not feeling that good, but a nice walk along the river and then feasting on that liquid football has been quite the tonic.

    Thoughts/ramblings for that one.
Well worth the drive up from West Cornwall, first live home game since Plymouth for me.
First half wasn’t great, we didn’t play badly but Morecambe frustrated us massively, looked like a good, organised side. We had most of the ball, didn’t do much of note with it and the opposition didn’t look like a side in the relegation zone.
A goal before half-time was vital and it completely changed the complexion of the game. I think we might have altered shape at HT if it wasn’t for that.
Second half, what can you say? Complete domination, we cut through them without even trying. I think their number of touches in our half didn’t even reach double figures.
McGoldrick is the best player in this league. In a positive way, he doesn’t even try. Everything he does is just effortless. Classy touch to give the second penalty to Collins.
Jason Knight’s goal was wonderful. He’s a different player when pushed 15 yards up the pitch. Him and Hourihane doesn’t really work as a midfield two.
Dobbin excellent, he glides with the ball and deserved a goal.
Very unfortunate for Harvey White who looked really promising, I’ve always said Korey Smith is a good defender, what a block!
Nobody played badly. Wildsmith was the shakiest he’s been since being here but he was able to get the deckchair out in the second half.
A pretty perfect afternoon. The gap’s getting smaller… kinda.

    Hi lads, Spurs fan here!

I watch quite a lot of our u21 games so hopefully I can give a fair assessment of where he's at and what he might bring you.
He's a very versatile player, he mainly plays CM or DM but has filled in at LB (our u21s dont have a natural LB) a lot and played at LM. Conte even started him as a false 9 in place of Kane in our post-worldcup friendlies but before you get your hopes up he's not a natural striker! IMO like a lot of creative players his best role is possibly AM in a free role but he's not played there much recently because our u21 team has quite a lot of forwards to accommodate. He was loaned out to Pompey a couple of seasons ago and I believe the club have had loan offers for him pretty much every window since but they've been blocked by the club for various reason which has frustratingly stalled his development a bit. He's got great range of passing and not sure how many of them are on youtube but he's scored some unbelievable direct freekicks over the years in the youth teams. The youth coaches have said he's one of the smartest players they've coached and according to the Pompey manager when he was there he's very easy to coach, "You only have to tell him an instruction once. He's like a sponge and you'll tell him something once and then he'll be doing it. He's so easy to coach, a coach's dream."

Hopefully it all goes ahead and he does well for you and maybe he can go on loan again with you next season in the championship ?

    You are not helping @B4ev6is.
The majority of us are very decent human beings, just wanting to watch our beloved Derby County and a lot of us, don’t fit into the current system of how the ticket system works, hence some of us require help from our fellow Derby County Supporters or anyone with good connections within the club.
As it states on the Clough & Taylor statue outside the ground.
    Harmony, Integrity & Unity.
We should all help out our fellow human beings with love, peace and harmony. Look after one another and the world is a far better place, especially when it’s a fellow supporter of Derby County Football Club. We sing together, we sit and stand together, we march together, we laugh and joke together, we smile together, we celebrate together and we stay together and are far stronger together with Harmony, Integrity and Unity.
Trust, respect one another and choose the positive option.
    Life, Love & Unity.

Football is about perspectives, but I thought it was a good game to watch against two, evenly matched, teams.
I actually thought we were the better team and, if Collins could have connected with that half volley, we could have won.
I also think we need some context, Sheff Weds have more experience in this league now and a bigger, more settled, squad.
All in all, probably a fair result and one that gives me optimism, I think Warne is hardening our, at times, soft underbelly ?

I feel like the BBC does a reasonable job in difficult circumstances. With a remit to cover areas not commercially viable, they output coverage of local news, minority groups, non English coverage of regional and small uk nations, educational output, children's TV, specialist output like scientific programs, and more.
Those people who suggest advert driven programming, expect more like ITV than BBC. Dreadful output driven by audience share. More love island, because vacuous idiots are cheap. Less niche output, more mainstream stuff.
As for the overpaying for talking heads, that's the market they operate in. As was mentioned elsewhere, the other channels pay far more for the on screen talent such as Ant and Dec. You might object to MacEnroe being paid handsomely, but few people can offer his kind of insight.
I'm sure the BBC waste money but the examples aren't great. Sending someone to Wimbledon from Derby? Could cost some petrol and a night in a Premier Inn. Hardly earth shattering.
I like the BBC, despite their centrist bias.

I'm not in receipt of any benefits but I'm happy to pay for them. The BBC and, as a slightly different example, Channel 4 and S4C make fantastic programmes that otherwise would remain inside someones head, not everything has to be driven by popularity and money, it's a fantastic thing that more obscure and niche programming still exists. The loss of local BBC stations would be such a sad thing.

I love British TV me and especially the beeb - says the frenchman - I get french TV and it is sh!te, most of it. The equivalent of MOTD is 1 a hour program on a Sunday morning. 20 mins of adverts. For several years TF1 did not show any goals from ligue 1 cos they hadn't bought the rights, I am not making this up, a MOTD with no goals or matches highlights. Amazon Prime have got the rights now and sold them highlights but they still don't show all the goals all as it would cost them too much and there isn't enough time for all the adverts. When France are playing, half time analysis is 14 mins of adverts solid followed by a 30 secs "detailed" analysis of the first half by Deschamp. By this I mean 1 question and answer from the on field reporter " Didier, what did you make of the 1st half?"
I used to work/travel abroad quite a lot. No foreign TV gets anywhere near British TV and this is mostly due to the beeb setting a very high standard -  as mentioned in my previous post.
Be careful what you wish for.

This. Said it on here many times, anybody,  the beeb sets the standard - TV and radio - and all the other broadcadters have to bebloody good as well to compete. The net result is best TV anywhere by a mile. Anybody who thinks otherwise should be forced to watch foreign TV, it is mostly rubbish.
