Interesting thought.
Perhaps DC and Co are the last resort and are happy to be that.
By submitting an offer to buy the club it puts the ball in Ashley and Applebys court, either put up now or pee off.
If the case, its a clever move all round.
Either Ashley or Appleby finally submit the winning bid, or DC and Co takeover and run us sensibly until in a position to sell on.

Inspired by another thread created yesterday, I thought that to lighten the gloom, perhaps we should share our mutual love of football and all sports.
You never know, there might be a couple of lifelong 'New England Patriots' fans on here that have never connected.
So, here goes the list, what is your FAVOURITE...

I’ve tried to remain optimistic, believing that we’re too much of a ‘brand’ to go down the tubes, surely someone will rescue us right?
But, today, with the Ebosele news, I’m finally defeated.
For years, like many, I’ve been excited at the prospect of our academy finally bearing fruit and, just as it does, due to our financial predicament, we’re losing them all one-by-one on free’s or for peanuts.
I firmly believe that, even if we get a new owner, this will put us in the wilderness in League One (Or even lower) for possibly a decade.
We’ve sold our future, have six or something signed players and will have to fill the team with lower league journeymen, less talented youngsters and loans from teams like Norwich, West Brom, Watford, etc.
It looks desperate from here.
I was a Mel Morris fan, thought he was a Derby lad made good and I felt the buzz when we made high profile signings (I would have been less thrilled if I knew the future was being gambled with).
Now, he is going to have to live with the fact that his legacy is that he’s financially ruined the club at worst or has set the club back ten years at best.

I think Andy Durham wants to spend more time thinking about his own position.
I listen to Talksport Drive and can honestly say that Andy Goldstein and Darren Bent’s show is 10x better than Durham’s.
Goldstein and Bent’s show is genuinely funny and lighthearted, Durham relies on shock-jock sound bites meant to rile people up and get the phone lines buzzing - His show is about as cheery as a dose of COVID.
I’m certain the Talksport hierarchy are on to this and Goldstein will be taking over Drive permanently and then Durham can bore off somewhere, hopefully!

Birdyabroad got a reaction from Rammy03 in Birmingham City vs Derby County Matchday Thread
Yes, in agreement here, I have high hopes, but it is that word ‘hope’ rather than sound judgement.
For such a (supposedly) good player, his first touch is awful, the ball bounces off his knees and shins, he can’t seem to trap the proverbial bag of cement.

Everyone keeps talking about Sibleys potential and I have high hopes for the lad myself, but bloomin hell, he’s done nothing; three touches, all poor. He may feel he’s being muscled by these Birmingham defenders but, yes, that’s going to happen week-in-week-out in the Championship.

I’ve decided to watch the rest of this game without the commentary turned on. It’s nothing to do with perceived commentator bias, it’s just that it’s banal poo.

Birdyabroad reacted to QuitYourJibbaJivin in Derby County vs Middlesbrough
Quite enjoyed the game, thought we played some really good stuff first half probably should have done better with some of the half chances.
Second half was an absolute scrap, Boro are a vile, vile team. They encapsulate everything that is a Neil Warnock team but we stood up to the test.
Above all else, I’m starting to like this team again. After years of watching a team of mercenaries looking for a pay day we’ve now got a group of players who are here because they actually want to play football and not just for the £ note.

Birdyabroad got a reaction from Jimbo Ram in Player Ratings #3: vs Hull (A)
What’s not to love about fan ratings.
As someone who wasn’t at the match last night and only listened to the match on and off due to ferrying my kids around, I rely on this to get a good idea of how the players fared.
So what am I to make of Kelle Roos’ performance ?♂️
He’s got a few 7’s, a few 6’s, a 4, a 5, some 5.5’s and a 6.5…
Any takers on an 8, or a 3?
Will the real Kelle Roos please step forward.
