Just a thought but filing accounts is a legal requirement for HMRC. EFL, no matter who they think they are, do not have the same powers as HMRC so I'm not sure that, legally speaking, DCFC are obliged to re-file. They could generate a new set of accounts based on the preferred practises of the EFL for the EFL but legally, they're not allowed to instruct DCFC to re-submit accounts - only the HMRC can do that. Obviously they can do under the guise of membership to the league, etc but they don't have the legal standing to demand that sort of stuff.
And it is very obviously a set-up. As soon as the new accounts are submitted, based on 'normal' amortisation, then they'll come back at us and gives us a points deduction - they have to to save face. This is gonna rumble on for ages and as has been said, it's a massive cloud over the club for both us and potential signings. This is already damaging enough so there needs to be some mediation here to get it done and dusted.
The EFL are utterly feckless. Despite thinking they're hard and tough, they're just playing at it. If they really wanted to nip this whole thing in the bud then kick us out of the league to stop it happening again. At times, I think I'd rather than than this death by a thousand cuts.

The club statement certainly shows a modicum of professionalism and respect. There are clearly guidelines with which this scenario should be made public and we as Derby County are behaving appropriately in spite of the worst efforts of the EFL.

    to quote the club..
”Although the Disciplinary Commission has yet to publish its full written reasons for its Decision, the EFL issued a press release about it and the fixture list last night. The Club is disappointed that the EFL has not, as is usual, waited until after the publication of the Disciplinary Commission’s reasons nor agreed a statement with the Club and in addition has chosen to be selective about the Decision and present it in a form which omit key dates and details, which the Club has provided by way of clarity above.”
The way in which the EFL have released the results to the media and therefore the public domain shows their clear and utter contempt and disregard for Derby County a founding member of what  their organisation is built upon.
DCFC on the other hand in their response the have acted exactly as I would like and expect them to, professionally and factually. Well done DCFC, keep your dignity and let the EFL continue to threaten all manner of courses of action and appeal their own appeals like the spoilt children that appear to be.
They as an organisation are showing themselves up at ever turn, just simply embarrassing.

Raich Carter reacted to Ghost of Clough in when can we expect the player retained list?
Players left/leaving due to being out of contract:
Carson - 0 minutes played last season Mitchell - 0 minutes played last season Idem - 0 minutes played last season Malone - 0 minutes played last season Jozefzoon - 0 minutes played last season
    Players possibly staying, possibly leaving:
Ravas - 0 minutes played last season Wisdom - 3116 minutes played last season (75%) Davies - 973 minutes played last season (24%) Waghorn - 1889 minutes played last season (46%) Marriott - 201 minutes played last season (5%)
    Loan players:
Clarke - 3687 minutes played last season (89%) Mengi - 668 minutes played last season (16%) Edmundson - 749 minutes played last season (18%) Baningime - 93 minutes played last season (2%) Roberts - 673 minutes played last season (16%) Gregory - 565 minutes played last season (14%)

So far we have only lost 6 players from last season's squad, only one of them played any significant amount of football, and another is supposedly returning next season. It's also very likely that at least 4 of the 5 we're in negotiations with stay with us.
We will also make signings over the next couple of months. Stop panicking.

I agree, I'm not sure if it's my age (as Bill Clinton said, I've got more yesterdays than tomorrows) but I just feel I've not really got the interest in going through another transition, bottom out and relaunch. Especially as this feels like the Peter Taylor / Roy Mac into Arthur era over again and we've got a few years before this is turned around. Derby will always be my club, I will always watch the team with passion and love but I do feel that we have got ourselves into a pickle here that it very much of our own making and I'm just not too invested to be thinking about following us game by game through another relegation fight.
That said, three wins to start the season and I'll be back and watching every pre-match conference. Fickle? Moi?
