WestKentRam got a reaction from angieram in 11 Points
I was amazed, when watching MOTD last night, to hear of a Derby County record in relation to the PL and is was nothing to do with the majestic 07/08 season.
We hold the record for most consecutive home draws in a season, with four for the 00/01 season. Thankfully Brentford lost 3-1 at home to Everton yesterday, or they would have equalled our record.
Surely we deserve a trophy for such a feat.

Sorry to hear this, and I hope Ed feels better soon.
Not living in the area I don't get to listen to live commentary on BBC Radio Derby, but I download the Rams Daily podcasts and enjoy listening to what he has to say in his analysis and interviews.
Shan't get into that can of worms that is the ills of social media, but no job should mean you have to take directed vitriol if someone doesn't agree with you or like what your doing. I recall the grief he got over reporting/breaking the news that the Chris Kirchner deal was about to collapse. Must be hard to take.

It's bound to get negative when Derby lose and concede so many...

Tomorrow is the anniversary of when we decided to drop the gold standard and our currencies value fell by 20%.

WestKentRam reacted to Curtains in So turns out Warne is a Football genius .
What I actually think is the guy needs time something many don’t seem to want to give him.
As for last night well Warne said himself he was pleased but not totally.
I enjoyed the game last night and I can see that Warne is definitely flexible in his tactics ie Moving Sibley to 10 2nd half ( PS Sibley has been injured) and he did well.
What you have to understand is teams like Portsmouth can be hard to beat re them winning in the League at Barnsley last night and going Top. Win our game in hand and we are 3 points off top.
Warne knows what he is doing I’m sure of it

WestKentRam got a reaction from Chris_Martin in Can anyone actually name a single improvement Warne has done since arriving?
He's taken us to the top of the table.

As Kokosnuss mentioned above it 100% comes off the defender, and I am yet to see one like this being given.
However the above is just a recommendation to Uefa from a panel, no guideline has been issued. From the little I read the official Ifab/fa rules here still mention nothing on deflections just unnatural position, or the 2nd case here for example, so maybe penalty was correct after all.

Thought she was a good ref, loved it when she booked their player for asking her to card Cashin after he had fouled him.
got all of the major decisions right there maybe a hint of offside about the goal but too close to call on any replays I have seen.
Be happy if she reffed every week after the dross that normally officiates us

WestKentRam got a reaction from SKRam in Derby programme collection on offer for free
We're had a major de-clutter following work on the house this year, and sadly my football programme collection is one of the things that must go in our new minimalist state.
Rather than condemn it to the great recycling centre in the sky, I'm offering it here in case anyone wants to relive the Mel Morris glory days, as well as other times past and present. Free to a good, or bad, home.
It consists of Derby home and away programmes to those games I've been to since 2014 up to last November when I realised my collecting days are over, including a full two season set of Rampage magazines.
There are also some older programmes of mainly other clubs, or Derby away, with a few stretching back to the 1970s but most in the 1980s/90s and onwards, featuring Arsenal, Charlton, Wimbledon and a smattering of other London clubs back in the days when I could just rock up to a Div 1 ground at 3pm on a Saturday and get a reasonably priced ticket watch the game. Also some ticket stubs for these games when I kept them. A bit of a hoarder...
I'd rather just off load them in one batch if anyone is interested. The photo shows they take up three smallish boxes.
I get to most home games in the car early locally in Derby from 11.30am-midday pre 3pm KO, so can drop off or arrange a rendezvous in Derby pre match.
If you're interested then send me a message. I'll post on here when they are spoken for. No time wasters, as I do enough of that myself.

Decent results for us with Exeter and Stevenage dropping points. It's still on!

I had visions of big Alan Brazil being brought in to ref our games.
It brings to mind the story of a sports teacher (Socially Distant Sports Bar podcast?) reffing a school game from his car parked on the touchline in the dark sheeting rain of winter. If he saw an infringement he'd flash his car headlights to give a decision. Would liven up our matches if the ref did this sat in a Ron Brooks Toyota parked near the dugouts.

We go on about a lot of things on this forum that we have zero influence over.
Or perhaps we have a bit of influence somewhere along the line. Maybe just maybe fan dissatisfaction with wasting time influenced this season’s changes for example. Maybe not but we should live in hope otherwise what’s the point?

WestKentRam got a reaction from BriggRam in Referees
The FA statement says Wildsmith was sent off on 2nd Sept for 'denying Bolton Wanderers a goal or an obvious goal-scoring opportunity by handling the ball' and they upheld a claim of wrongful dismissal by Derby and removed his one match ban.
The word handball is used in the statement, but not tackle.
What they haven't said was whether they overturned it as it was not a handball, or whether they still think it was a handball but not a goal scoring opportunity.
I imagine they didn't want to criticise the ref directly and publicly in the statement, so have made it deliberately ambiguous rather than saying he saw a handball when there was none.

Absolutely spot on, sir. Apart from mentioning that maybe they were being their usual spineless, yellow-bellies!
