Is that not the opposite? £100 million might be slightly excessive, but what's the alternative? Somebody takes over without the necessary cash to run us and we end up in the same scenario? I think it's caution, and in our case that isn't a bad thing.

If fans want a sustainable football club you don't need a billionaire.
Although being sustainable and competitive isn't that easy, still not sure the patience is there for that kind of model either if I'm honest.
We'll see, but I think a lot of fans don't actually have any real interest in being sustainable, just frustrated how money has been spent recently and looking to avoid a repeat of the situation we are in now. Understandable.
The ambition to be in the Premier League is still there, attendances reflect that and I won't deny it, I'm one of them. I want to see this club in the top flight and won't apologise for that.
Although the need for a better structure in place to identify the players needed to build a team capable of a promotion push is obvious.
Mel wasn't a billionaire and on reflection didn't need to spend the money he did, so whilst the idea of a billionaire sounds all sexy and exciting, it's not what is really needed at this club right now.

Very good question. It's all a bit like a job interview...you get asked questions and you have to answer with evidence of your suitability. I suspect it'll be about the amount of £ leverage-ability plus issues of vision & sustainability. In other words the Administrators will have to come to a systematic judgement as to who is the "best fit" for the long-term for Derby County.

At least the article is as absolutely correct about needing two forwards ( goal scorers please) and a productive wide attacking player whilst extending contracts of those we want to keep

The real value of Derby is in its chance of getting to the Premiership via the play offs and the windfall it provides. Becoming a yo-yo club would be my three year target if I was buying it.

If we can get out of the bottom three by the international break then beating a further nine point deduction is not out of the question with 29 games still to play.

We have played four clubs in today’s top 6 two at home two away - 4 draws - rather impressive in all reality
meanwhile we have lost only 3 league games this season which gives us a heck of a chance of surviving in this league this season.

Same team that finished the Cov game please:
                          Roos
    Byrne  Jagielka  Davies  Buchanan
                    Bird  Shinnie
         Lawrence  Morrison  Sibley
                         Kazim
I know Kaz isn't ready for a full game yet, but I'd rather try and start off on the front foot with him leading the line then change it when he's knackered than bring him on after an average start.
Rovers have lost 3 of their last 4. This is more than winnable! COYR!

Prospective buyers can see that we have s decent team with developing young players. A few key signings would allow us to challenge for top six imo.

EFL is supposed to represent the interests of member clubs. Derby is a member club... in fact a founding member. Would it be too much for a body that represents its members interests to try and help a member in its hour of need?
The 12 point deduction is  an automatic deduction so it's not as if the EFL made any decisons on that, the process is set out in the EFL Rules which are also being followed by the administrators. There is no need for anyone to feel pissed about or "shocked" by that,  in fact is is completly improper for EFL to comment in such a way.
