Waggy as it stands, the most important thing for us is goals and he's out top scorer at the moment and pushing Collins on too.

Yeah I probably was overly negative on reflection just was surprised with some of the comments after seeing us play on Saturday. Left feeling angry after how we played 2nd half.
On the positive side I am pleased to see Waghorn and Collins score so many so far this season and see how good Fornah and Nymabe are in their positions who are imo the best summer signings unless John Jules turns out amazing.
I was at Saturday's game and to my mind it was a decent performance just lacking an end product and I said this at the time....it was far better than we had been playing recently and was a building block for tonight's game.

Any boo’ers on here?
I’d be interested to learn who the full time boos were aimed at!
Ref? Players? Warne? Clowes? Other? 🤷♂️
It was the ref and linesman for their performances not the team.

I thought we performed much, much better today and the new boys were a revelation, cool and collected on the ball and looked a class above.
Cambridge were pinned back from the start and we nullified them throughout the game.
Shame we didnt score but they did put their entire team behind the ball at times.
My only real issue was that I think that wash and Waggers make a better pairing than collins and waggy, who tend to get in each others way and they are both, essentially, number 9's.
A much improved performance all in all and it bodes well for the immediate future, especially with the injured players starting to return.

Yet you're quite happy to say one of OUR players has lime green jelly where his brain should be?
I think that's more of a statement of fact.

It's quite an unpleasant forum on here sometimes isn't it.
The blokes doing his job,has some time off for unknown reasons and gets personally slagged off by fellow derby supporters whilst he does so.

Sounds abysmal today,a total contrast to the positive team we put out on Tuesday.
This has a 1-1 result, with the equaliser coming in at the 97th minute, written all over it.

Should have been a penno there for Mendez!

Mac 1 was the dream and should’ve seen us go up in the play offs. A true sliding doors moment.
But he’s had his chance and then some and any return of Mac really would be old news.
Get Warnock in, get him poohousing us out of this god forsaken league and if he has a shocker then we’d have achieved as much as we’re going to with PW as boss.Warnock, for the love of god no.

Ecstatic but would he trust another dcfc owner who had just kicked out the manager 18 months into a 4 year contract to rebuild the club?
I think not,he has been there before.
The time to have taken Mac back on was upon getting rid of rosenior but he wasn't available.
If the man United gaffer gets the sack then the scenario may become slightly more realistic but with the same caveats for Mac so still unlikely (sadly)

Unless clowes is voting on them, they are all irrelevant.

No, we probably won't be paying £1m for a player anytime soon but lets not pretend Warne is operating on a shoestring budget compared to our League One promotion rivals. Clowes says he has a good budget in relation to this division, we brought in players from higher divisions this summer & continue to have high wage earners like Hourihane on the books.
You've sidestepped the point that the clubs you referenced either outperformed Derby under Warne in their first season at this level and/or showed consistent improvement thereafter (albeit two had to fire a manager after 12 months in L1 to achieve this). Maybe you could help explain why we haven't improved in the past 12 months & why we shouldn't mirror Leeds/Southampton by firing Warne?
Maybe because he has achieved promotion in league 1 three times and on each occasion his team started the season slowly...perhaps the boss has placed an equal emphasis on both of these aims.
As I've said,I'm no fan of the football but clowes took him on to both steady and repair the club and achieve promotion in the medium term.
In his time at Rotherham he achieved both of those goals so you can see where the owner was coming from when he employed PW.
Unless we are looking at relegation he's going nowhere.
